New features in todays patch March 11, 2011

New patch pushed through today, there is a nifty little drop down that lets you view the activity feed, longer, better and uncut.

What could do is bookmark this page: http://www.hotstockmarket.com/forum/newposts/filter/feed

- You should subscribe to the forums, stocks, or members you want to follow.

Eg Penny Stocks

That way when you go to the feed and click on "subscriptions only", you will only see the latest posts from the Penny Stocks forum, and nothing else.

I then use this bookmarked page during the day to see the latest posts without having to go to the front page.

Realy great, but another bookmark ?

Could that not be implemented in the site as a button..
Maybe above, beside My Profile at the right side ?

But I can already do that by clicking the 'subscriptions' link at the top of the page. Adding the same feature to a drop down menu only adds the number of times I have to click to get the same results. You're fixing stuff that isn't broken as opposed to addressing the things that irritate users.

You dont have to bookmark it, that was just what I do, not compulsory.

It shows up when you are in a forum, check the top of this page.

The new function shows "more" on the activity feed as a default. I have suggested that they both should show the same thing, saving a click as you said.

I'm not getting the desire for so many multiple buttons to accomplish the same thing. 90% of your users won't ever understand all of them anyway.

And as far as multiple buttons, why are there three separate navigation trees at the bottom of every thread, along with two more at the top of the page? Did the web designer run out of ideas on what to put in that space? Yes, it's handy having navigation trees at the top and bottom of the page. I wish the Huddler folks could establish some consistency though, as some pages have five navigation trees/ forum jump links but other pages (like when you go through subscriptions) have none.

I agree, it's weird how many there are.
