ok ive had this issue with subscriptions since i joined.

I have like alot, but i only get 25 updates per day. It inst my email provider, so anyone else have this issue?

feb. is almost here

i'm just curious but will you guys be putting up an announcement on the site a day or two before the changes officially take affect? or maybe a mass e-mail/pm to all the members? that would probably be a good idea so that people know when to expect the site to be down. do we even know what day in feb. the upgrade will be? i'm just assuming you guys will be doing this during non-market hours. (sat, sun?)

i'm sure you guys already know to do this, it's a pretty basic thing, but definetly be sure to have a working backup of the db before you guys do the conversion to the new platform on this live site. i used to co-admin a fairly busy sports site with someone years ago when we attempted to do a similar software conversion like you guys are doing tomorrow. turned out to be the biggest disaster as it all went wrong, and we didn't have a good db backup, the one we did have was from months ago and it was corrupted. had to start the site from scratch, and eventually the site was closed down because of a mass-exodus of our userbase. one of my more depressing moments.

however looks like you guys have a good handle on things, since it appears (at least from the screenshots you've posted the other day), that you have already converted the site on a local server. in other words- you've already done the backup. good on ya.

great work to everyone involved in the transition. i'm sure i speak for everyone when i say your hard work and efforts are greatly appreciated. seriously, thank you for all that you guys do to keep this place up and running.

And if all else fails, I have committed to memory every category, thread, and every single post ever made. Should things not go quite smoothly, I have set aside 3 days, 20 boxes of hot pockets, and 14 cases of Red Bull to manually restore the site.

The Hot Chicks thread takes up no hosted space. It is routed directly through my personal hard drive.
