All of Alexander Elder's books are good. "Come into my Trading Room" is probably the most useful of his books but you can't go wrong with any of them.

Check out the study guides for his books as well: they might actually be more useful then the books themselves for learning the subject matter.

Just do what I did..... Go to the book store everyday and just read! Read! Read! Read! All the book get pretty repetitive, so my advice read them even so because the more you read something the more it sticks in your head. Good luck to you.

I thought I let you know I purchased this book on Barnes & Noble. Should arrive in a few days. Thanks for the recommendation. Oh, btw....are you familiar with a book call "The Encyclopedia of Technical Analysis? I was just curious, I checked on Amazon for a cheaper price. I wanted to get the book. Amazon is asking for $175!!! The book is like $300! Man, I didn't realize they made books that expensive! Sheesh!rolleyes.gif

I goofed on the price for The Encyclopedia on Technical Analysis. It said it is $75. Not $300. Man, I knew that was quite steep for a book like that. rolleyes.gif

Just draw some lines where price seems to react. That's what any and all TA books will practically tell you in 300+ pages. I suggest you go with a book over the psychology of trading or something related to reading the tape (reading volume, reading price, etc.)

Ok, thanks! I am learning the basics on TA, so I was asking around, what books I should read on.

I am still quite new on this Technical Analysis stuff, so I bought another book call "The Investor's Guide to Technical Analysis. But for now, I had been watch thread made by StockJock-e, IchibomB, and others here. So, I can get a good look at what they say about the market. I am still learning the "technical terms" they use. Like the words "puts" and others.

For any new investors here (or future traders), this site is awesome if you want to learn from the best! Yeah, there are other sites. But I say, this is bar none. Because, they take the time to explain to you about how it works. Like other sites, they don't really "see" you as a person (or a learner). They just see you as a "number", or a name.
