'Intactivists' to San Francisco: Ban circumcision
(CNN) -- In the California city that banned Happy Meal toys, outlawed sitting on sidewalks during daylight hours and fined residents for not sorting garbage into recycling, compost and trash, Lloyd Schofield wants to add a new law to the books in San Francisco: A ban on all male circumcisions.
Those who violate the ban could be jailed (not more than one year) or fined (not more than $1,000), under his proposal. Circumcisions even for religious reasons would not be allowed. At this point, Schofield's proposal is an idea that would have to clear several hurdles to be considered.

Since so many here think they know dick or others do not know dick....what say the group here on this bizarre subject? This is a subject you can 'handle' and talk about? Is Lloyd Schofield possibly a bit personally 'insecure' about his body image?
Should Government (or creepy other people who actually form 'groups' to be so concerned with other peoples junk) be so obsessed or concerned with this topic enough to pass laws banning it and fine/jail violators? If someone is arrested--would their argument 'stand up' in court?
Does religious freedom or history extend below the waist in the US.....or should it be a persons choice to have done when they get older like whether to drink or vote or drive or get implants or plastic surgery...?
Is it 'genital mutilation' as is being claimed or is it a health benefit...? I mean every male is born that way--like we are born with wisdom teeth, tonsils and an appendix...if we're born that way with this extra tissue (and its not perforated to be torn off later) you would think it would be 'normal'...?
What about the 'argument' that parents want their son to look like dear 'ole dad...and not be upset he doesn't look like dad (to which I have to ask--
just how often are some of these parents having daddy/son naked time with their kid thruout their lives--and...why?
).. Well if you want your kid to look like dear ole dad and feel good about it--does that mean you are gonna g out of your way to make him obese or excessively hairy or balding..so he feels 'normal'?
Jokes aside..sorta--and not trying to rub folks the wrong way..
...what do you all think of this level of proposed government intervention in the news...or the 'intact' groups that think they know dick better then you?
