Interactive Brokers

Anyone ever used Interactive Brokers? http://www.interactivebrokers.ca/en/main.php

They seem to have very competitive commission pricing and some pretty cool software and stuff. They have a .ca website so I'm assuming I can sign up in Canada.

Any comments?

In the US they are pretty much at the top of the retail ladder. If you want better quotes/fees/execution you pretty much need to go Prop.

You can use them in Canada. But beware, they only allow you to purchase up to 500k shares per trade. So if your trading penny stocks look elsewhere.

On the website, it says you get charged a penny per share. Sounds good for small traders that trades usually 100 share blocks.

There are minimum and maximum commissions also.

So you can buy 500k of a .0002 stock and it's $1 commission

I use them for pennies and it can be a pain if you want more than $3k of a subber...
