if you go to http://www.otcmarkets.com/stock/MSLP/chart
the chart itself will show you the volume of the trades and at what price, just move your mouse over the chart
If you select Tech Indicators on the top of the window, then lower indicators, then On Balance Volume OBV another chart will show up under the main one. If you select 1d when you move your mouse over the chart it will show you the amount of shares current traded that day, a negative value means more have been sold than bought.
You will see it falls of a cliff when someone dumped those 800k shares. The negative share # goes from -600k to -1.5mil
Dilution, Dilution, and more Dilution. That is what this company is doing. When you are trying to make a name in an already saturated market, you need to stand out by advertising. Unfortunately it's taking it's toll on the shareholders.
They should be making enough money to become profitable if they just cut back on the advertising. It seems they may be doing that, this quarter.
But no matter what happens you can almost guarantee there will be more dilution. And at .01 that is going to be pretty hefty.
A reverse split is not in the best interest of the shareholder when they are still losing money. It makes the losses look that much greater, and the stock will drop right back down to where it was.
A Reverse split works quite opposite if the company is making money. The EPS then becomes a lot higher.
If you use 500 milliion shares, at .015, that is only a 7 million market cap. So even with that, the stock should at least be .03. But the constant dilution is sinking the stock.
Its easy to justify dilution as the stock has gone down, but how much of this really is just the effects of the rest of the market? Personally I haven't been playing pennies the traditional way, with 99% of the market following up or down its more of predicting whats gonna happen overall and then finding pennies that will move alot. I got this stock on my watchlist, may pick it up tommorrow afternoon since wedensday theres a couple reports that have a decent chacne of being better than expected, and u jsut cant beat 30% gains i've had success with the same strategy.
agreed. But i have a feeling that something is coming up. Personally i think the rest of the year will be pretty big for MP once they start taking advantage of Vick. Hopefully next week after the Olympia they start releasing some news, they seem to be holding alot of it back. It also appears they have cut advertising spending alot this quarter, looking forward to seeing the results.
I've always believed that timing is crucial when releasing information. Right now, good news will be overshadowed by a bad economy. I'm not saying they should sit on it, but spreading out news might be more beneficial.
I know Vick's MP package included thousands of shares. I would hope he, along with maybe the other endorsees who have a vested interest in this company will step up to promote it more.
