Who do you think would make a good President?

You can have more than one favorite.

Paul Ryan (WI)... Fiscal responsibility, intelligence. "Not going to run in 2012"...
John Boehner (OH)... Requires "reading bills" before voting on them, speaks his mind
Chris Christie (NJ)... Honesty and integrity, but he's "not interested" yet. Maybe in 2016

I believe it's Paul Ryan from Wisconsin. Seems like he would make a good President, but don't know enough about him yet.

Sarah Palin would make a good President. She's knows how to run things, she is inspirational, takes no bs from anyone and is down to earth. All good qualities for President.

Bobby Jindal from Louisiana would be my first choice. He's got a lot of experience, is very clever, also doesn't take bs and has some great ideas for healthcare that don't involve the government taking over.

Mitt Romney would be another of my preferences. His support of Mass care is a problem but he's run businesses before and would be much better for our economy than anyone else I can think of.

Jeb Bush would make a good President. His executive experience in Florida (A populous state) would come in handy and he's an easy going sorta guy, which would go over well.

Governor Chris Christie in New Jersey is on my list too. I do have some problems with him, specially when it comes to Immigration, but right now we need someone tough and this guy is tough as nails. Not only is he tough as nails, he's a strong fiscal conservative and he knows how to put Unions in their place.

I'm sure there are more but can't think of them right now.

Given the current depth of self-serving government corruption, pandering, special interest placating and blatant all out lies that are far from serving the people or the welfare of the country...a good POTUS would require them to be a person of firm character and moral fortitude and an understanding that above all else you must do what is right for the people and the country first--not what is only 'popular' or the flavor of the day or is of 'favor & agenda' to those of elite or wealth only status.. Someone who is not afraid of saying NO or 'offending' but standing firm on principles and the outcome such firm standing will bring to benefit all...

That person will have to understand that because of the gigantic amount of dysfunctional operation and how far off track the country has become, that major change and major alteration & deviation from those aspects serving wealth and elitism and discounting the welfare of the country and its people is the only way to resolve and restore the country and its people to its true standing in the global perspective.. That person will also have to realize that the gross mismanagement that goes on and the gross taxation and deception is not the way to a society being self sustaining sand productive or strong.. currently today our only 'industry' left is practically all military..and while a strong military is excellent it cannot be the only productive and fruitful aspect of a country lest it become a dictatorship and omnipotent and impotent...

Aside from Ron Paul who has at least a clue and see's the problems clearer then anyone else that I have heard--most anyone related in current politics as a 'professional politician' or hot-air bag is too tainted today IMO--most have been 'playing the game' far too long and disingenuously want the power for the wrong reasons...a true leader is not someone who 'wants' the leadership role--they have it thrust upon them by the people who need their firm action and know their character and respect them to do what is best and right and not what is personal. Its an honor to serve the people and do your best for them...and that is an aspect which has been lost on most.. We need fresh & to really rip apart what is wrong regardless of the politics because its strangling our nation...we need to limit the times for all those who get power in all aspects to ensure old-boy corruption doesn't take hold and stay...and I don't see that in anyone mentioned so far....

Didn't these immature teens get their fill of empty suits when they elected Obama?

You'd think they'd learn their lesson that talking and governing are two separate things and should not be confused.

I know it's a foolish hope of mine, but how I wish someday people would learn to vote for those who can do the job, rather than those who talk a good game.

I was speaking out for RP during the entire election. He has the experience and 'will' to get America back on track. But there are others who emanate his character that would display a much 'stronger' personification of what the country needs. Someone with the honesty and integrity of RP, the vocal presence and 'in your face' defiant posture of John Boehner combined with the fiscal intelligence of Paul Ryan would be the perfect candidate for POTUS. If the commie thugs and Progressive Socialists of the CPUSA don't get voted out in NOvember, and Elena Kagan gets 'confirmed' to the SCOTUS, this country will slide into tyranny. TERM LIMITS!...
Elena Kagan is replacing a judge just as left as she is. So she cannot do too much harm by herself.

However, if conservative judges on the court, prior to the end of Obama's term, start to mysteriously die off, then we'll have a problem.

Progressive-Democrat left wing "journalists" have been floating distractions... “bright shiny things”...
(the 'rumor' that Kagan is a lesbian), for the intellectually challenged, irrelevant media to glom onto so
they wouldn’t be tempted to look deeper into her published philosophy..."since it would be 'bizarre' to
argue that a Justice's sexual orientation will not in some way affect his or her judgment of the issues".

As long as we're "distracted by seemingly irrelevant" issues about Kagan, the truth about her radical
left wing ideologies and making judgments based on personal beliefs and political agendas will remain
hidden until AFTER her confirmation. IMO, now would be a good time for the Republicans to practice
their filibustering skills!

I'm a big fan of Ron Paul's foreign policy but he has some wacky economic ideas imo. Maybe I'm not radical enough but tieing our currency to a precious metal hasn't worked out so great for other countries in the past. What I really like about him is that I can't imagine him pulling an obama promising X and delivering Y.

Any thoughts on rand paul?

Although they are almost identical, I'd take Ron over Rand any day. I can't really support people like Rand, Joe Wilson, Joe Barton, John Boehner, and Obama, who can't speak their mind without either apologizing or "clarifying" what they had previously said. But then again, there aren't too many politicians who can.

We pretty much have opposite views on Ron, but I'd take him for his economic policy, but I'm definitely not a big fan of his foreign policy (i.e. the way he would've handled the North Korea situation). I do admit that wanting to abolish the Federal Reserve is a bit extreme, but if I had to choose someone, I would still choose Ron Paul.

Not really a fan of the Ron's NK situation either actually.

I actually like most of his economic policies too, I just think some go a bit too far.

Unbelievable. Are you frickin' kidding or what? How have so many Americans become to dumb and out of touch? This is unbelievable; it's very scary.
