TradersBase : Trade with Success!

TradersBase is an educational site focused on economics and the broad financial markets. Mix in my ramblings about the US economy and the dire straits I believe we're in and you have the sweet & sour that is TradersBase.

I started TradersBase a few years back with Cire2222 in an effort to share what I already knew as well as learn new tactics from Cire and other traders of all skill levels. We started out focused heavily on futures contracts but things quickly spread into a collection of thoughts, teachings and the coverage of the insanity we know as the markets.

Please check things out and feel free to sign up, post and/or use the chatbox. I try to post a few times a day, time permitting. I'd love to get some participation and sharing of knowledge going again. There are so many bright people that I want to pick information from.

Thanks to HSM for allowing this test pilot and also for being where I got my start and quite a bit of my knowledge from. Without HSM I would probably not know half as much as I do, nor would I realize how much I DON'T know.

Lower trendline is based off daily volume profile. Upper trendline is based off intraday profiles. Note how they are confluent with the MA's I run (21 and 200). Also note the lower trendline is confluent with the volume profile/support from 2/7. We're in an uptrend..."buy the f'in dips". But buy them at support and don't be afraid to bail if support gives way. ;)

TradersBase has a new look for the blog and a new site partner (Chris) who does excellent video based analysis. His "picks" are much more than just coin tossing/guesstimating as he provides entry/exit and tons of information about the risk/reward ratios. I could use help spreading the word around about the rejuvenated blog and about the video content which I'm VERY excited to have on the site.

Traders are such a niche and elite clan that I'm having trouble gaining traffic...seems all my friends on Facebook etc... want to be broke forever. :p

The only way I would do videos with voice were if I had StockJock's accent! I don't care to hear my voice much. ;)

I'm writing a TA 101 blog series because I've gotten feedback that the majority of my viewers have no clue about charts. I wanted to do MP/VP but clearly that would just be over the top at this stage. 8/

We just closed JEF for 7+% bringing our realized net portfolio gains to over 20% in the past month or 2!

Original TradersBase post for TNH. That SOB soared even more today. We're up about 18% on the play currently. If she holds up well that will put us at about 40% gains in less than 2 months.

Chris is KILLING it on the calls. My blog post on Sunday night warned of the major indices needing a pop upwards, this call payed off big today as well (see prior chart I posted).
