Well, boys and girls, today we are letting the fox guard the hen house. The wolves will be herding the sheep! Obama appoints two devout Muslims to home land security posts. Doesn't this make you feel safer already?

Obama and Janet Napolitano Appointed Arif Alikhan, a devout Muslim, as Assistant Secretary for Policy Development DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano swore-in Kareem Shora, a devout Muslim, who was born in Damascus, Syria, as ADC National Executive Director as a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC).

NOTE: Has anyone ever heard a new government official being identified as a devout Catholic, a devout Jew or a devout Protestant...? Just wondering.

Devout Muslims being appointed to critical Homeland Security positions? Doesn't this make you feel safer already?? That should make our home land much safer, huh!!

Was it not "Devout Muslim men" that flew planes into U.S. buildings 8 years ago? Was it not a Devout Muslim who killed 13 at Fort Hood ?

A good friend of mine is Turkish, he is also Muslim. He is not a terrorist. He has no plans to blow up any buildings or go on shooting sprees. He likes drinking beer on the weekend and working out.

I refuse to subscribe to the widely accepted notion that all Muslims are terrorists.

^definitely and we should always take the other side of the coin into consideration! However, we should also be aware that a large sum of Muslims have a totally different view on what it means to be Muslim than anyone of our friends.

this is the EXACT mindset that continues to allow attacks on ALL American people..."we" MUST start profiling ALL muslims no matter who they are...the attacks are almost DAILY and yet you sit there and tell us that "we" (Americans) shouldn't profile all muslims because your friend works out and drinks beer with you?

Maybe those who were "friends" with the 9/11 hijackers for YEARS could tell you otherwise? They don't call them SLEEPER cells for nothing

Im all for profiling, I dont understand why they search granny at the airport, but my comments were not about profiling, nor is it the topic.

My point is that not all Muslims are terrorists. Period.

To assume that because the new guy at DHS is Muslim, therefor he must be working this terrorists and everybody is now doomed... is ridiculous.

In your initial post just attacked them on the basis that they were Muslim.

Profiling has nothing to do with it. It has nothing to do with what the thread starter is attempting to insinuate.

What sort of profiling are we talking about? How do you intend to profile Muslims? What does a Muslim look like? Do they have to be wearing a turban, or just be of middle-eastern descent to qualify? Where do you stop? Special designations on id cards, community segregation, deportation, internment camps? Should their voting rights be taken away? Maybe they could have their own water fountains? If you're going to "profile" them, what would you like to see done to Muslim citizens once they're identified? Do you have specific rights in mind that you'd like to take away as you create a group of 2nd class citizens?

It is fine to suspect. I get stopped at the airport because I have a beard and I am Asian. Do I care? No.

However, people are not suspecting here. They are just indicting the action of appointing a Muslim regardless.

All Muslims from that region and some Turks like my buddy are also light skinned and blue eyed.

In this case I will agree with vland, I feel Muslims like this must be profiled, from many angles, and in a bikini.

Actually I think having 2 Muslims a part of homeland security is a good idea. Just like a woman cop proving she can be as tough as a man cop, these two guys have a lot to go against concerning Muslim terrorism.
