DOGs Binary Option Trades

Binary Options. I did some research over the weekend and thus far I like what I see. I think I’ll open an account with a few K and see how it goes.

Currently looking at two platforms: EZTrader.com and StartOptions.com

PROS:

1. Quick turnaround. The trade itself last for 1 hour. You can enter the trade anytime up to ten minutes prior to the close (trade are not accepted the last 10 minutes). You just sit on your hands the last 10 minutes.

2. Payout is worth the risk:

a. Invest $30 = Payout $51
b. Invest $50 = Payout $85
c. Invest $100 = Payout $170
d. Invest $150 = Payout $255
e. Invest $200 = Payout $340
f. Invest $250 = Payout $425

3. BASIC Put/Call format. CALL: In-the-Money if close is above your entry. PUT: In-the-Money if close is below your entry. Nothing fancy, no elaborate spreads etc.

4. Initial minimum deposit amount is $100.00, although they recommend $500.00.

5. Fund your account numerous ways.

6. Payout is immediate, and you funds are immediately available for withdrawal (so they tell me).

7. Trade Stocks, Forex, or Commodities.

CONS: You can lose your a$$, but what else is new.

Conducted my first Binary Option trade with StartOptions to see how the system worked. No problems either enterning the trade or the exit. One interesting thing, my Scottrade Elite charts appear to be a few seconds ahead of StartOptions. May be a way to stay ahead of the curve!

Entered NWS (News Corp) with a $250.00 PUT @ $17.10 with 15 mins left on the trade.

NWS close at $17.07 which put me "In-the-Money"

Made 70% on the trade for a quick +$175.00.

I figure 4 trades a day for +$700.00 per day (if all trades are successful).

StartOptions currently trades six Stocks:

Apple (AAPL)
Cisco (CSCO)
Google (GOOG)
Microsoft MSFT
NewsCorp (NWS)
Yahoo (YHOO)

With this limited amount of stocks you can easily learn their trends and how they react to the overall market.

This is really interesting, I'm going to look in to this.

Losses are 100%, though, correct? I've looked at these and the risk/reward ratio is always less than 1...

It's literally all-or-nothing; seems a bit risky...

You get back 10% of your investment for trades 'Out the Money', or $25.00 on a $250.00 trade.

risk = $money

It’s basically nothing more than a Momentum trade. I run a 5 minute chart and follow the trend. The only “risk” in my view is the last 10 minutes – you are locked out of the trade.

In other words, you cannot exit the trade the last 10 minutes so you have to be right.

I’m also looking at a second broker, Binarix Trading for a second account. This broker is open longer than StartOptions and offers a few more choices.

They offer ten individual stocks and all the major indices.

Stocks:

Dell (DELL)
Apple (AAPL)
JPMorgan Chase (JPM)
Intel (INTC)
Starbucks (SBUX)
Amazon (AMZN)
Coca-Cola (KO)
Microsoft (MSFT)
Google (GOOG)
eBay (EBAY)

I'd be careful. If you look at the FAQ page they all look identical, like they were written by the same person & changed ever so slightly.

Some of them give you their physical address, but some don't. One I looked at was in Turkey, another in South Africa.

I remember looking into this a while ago. It's an interesting idea, but in the end, you're betting on the markets regardless of how much technical analysis you put into it. I would make sure their data is synced with Reuters or some other reputable source because it may be a few ticks off. A few ticks, as you probably know, may determine whether the option is in/out of the money, unless of course you nail the direction. Good luck and keep us updated.

It's a little weird. These binary options sites are popping up everywhere, and they seem to be generated by the same people. Stinks like a scam.

wouldnt be suprised if it is a ponzi. people for a while will swear they are real companies because they can make withdrawls. one day too many will hit at once and the company will vanish. last thing on earth i would do is have ties to africa.

i have never seen enough potential reward to want to play binary options. they have a capped reward and often no way out and 100% loss. i perfer regular options. trading is perfectly nimble and reward is unlimited. sometimes we can even make 1300% nflx

They trade on 1 hour increments.
One of them "claims" after 50 minutes you can get out if you think it's going against you...yeah right.

It’s a new industry. Their legit, don’t speculate based on a single search engine result and a quick read. Do some research, pickup the phone and call them and ask questions.

Quick dicking around with Africa and look north to Europe.

Busy with other stocks today and was only able to make one Binary trade…..and I managed to screw that one up

This was going to be a $250.00 CALL not $50.00. I refreshed the page prior to entering the order and the price changed. I didn’t notice it and entered the order. Lesson learned. But it was a successful trade.

Here is an example of a one hour binary trade. In this case it's the AUD-USD Forex, but the same principle applies to stocks and commodites.

Trading Zone: This trade started at 1500 and will run until 1600. The Trading Zone is the first 50 minutes of the trade and you can enter the trade anytime within this period. You can enter a single trade or, you can stack several trades. In this case you could stack PUTS as the price drops.

--------------------->
WORD OF CAUTION: Once you enter the trade you cannot exit it, and you cannot set any form of stop. YOU MUST BE CORRECT!
--------------------->

Death Watch: That's what I've named it. This is the last 10 minutes of the trade and this is where your trade lives or dies. You must sit on your hands and wait for the remained of the trade to develop. You are locked out - NOTHING CAN BE DONE!

Completed a CALL stack on Yahoo. My intent was to go $50, $150, $250. However I was late with my second CALL and never did get to the $250 - next time.

But the Stack was successful:
