Nothing says I have to use the margins funds, but at least I won't have to wait on funds to clear anymore.
I've had a margin account for a few years and have not once used the margin funds. Just be very careful when you're putting in your orders. At least for Scottrade and E*Trade, no warning appears telling you you've gone over what it's your account and are now dipping into margin funds. Shouldn't be a problem though, just don't be careless about it. And remember not to execute 4 round-trips in 5 business days or you'll get slapped w/ a pattern day trader restriction.

LPIH Chart. I think shorts began to cover when 2.50 broke. I think they are now covering again now that 2.70 has broken. Any short holding after seeing the revised guidance figures isn't firing on all cylinders to say the least.

I just finished filling out the margins account request on my Ameritrade account and submitted it.

So, I don't know how long they'll take to approve it, but there'll be no more waiting on funds! Yippeeeeeee!!

I meet all the requirements for day trading, but I've never done more than 3 day trades in one week anyway, so it won't matter.

Good Curt. In short-time, you'll wonder how you ever made it without a margin account. And remember, no stock is worth subjecting yourself to losing more than your principal investment. Let those margin funds just sit there and look pretty.

Right! Maybe a second mortgage, but never margin funds.

Thanks for this info guys. Good stuff!! I opened a margin account and now the funds are available instantly instead of 3 days from now. Now I just have to be sure I don't use them. Sorry to get off topic from LPIH.

Just got back from the Casino's and I was prying that we would have a idea of when we would be apl for AMEX....I don't see any news on that anywhere
I was also thinking after a few breaks over 2.70 that we would creep up to $3.00. Shows what i know

I gave up on this one today. Just wasn't moving quite fast enough for me. Kinda stalled out the last couple of days. I sold it so now I'm sure it will rocket up..LOL
