Heat would be tempting though with their acquisitions and it would guarantee me not to be watching any NBA (knicks) for a LONG time
Yeah, I think that's the toss up for him. If he went to the Knicks, he can make a $hitload of coin and if they make the right acquistions (role players), they can possibly win a championship.

I agree, he probably won't go to Chicago due to Jordan's shadow. As for the Heat, it could potentially turn into a Boston Celtics pt.2 (Allen, Garnett, and Pierce) but 10 times younger - that's a scary team! (Lebron, Wade, and Bosh)

But I wouldn't mind if he went to the Knicks, I'd totally buy up some MSG stock for a 2-3 year investment depending how long his contract is. Look at what he did for Cleveland, that team was $hit before he joined.

More free time for me, about 205 hours a year I won't be wasting watching the Knicks play

Started a position in this yesterday.  It'll probably flounder in the low twenties until news that the CBA is completed.

Interesting obervation

CBA still not announced and there are talks of canceling the season, but I'm up 10%.  Even when you're wrong you can still be right.  I'll probably sell Monday and get back in if it drops to $23.

NBA lockout extended through rest of November... MSG probably losing an assload of money on tickets sales (MSG tickets are like $120 bux on avg) and concessions ($8.50 for beer, but you get a pretzel stick! WHAT A DEAL!)

Madison Square Garden shares up 11% on NBA news

http://www.marketwatch.com/story/madison-square-garden-shares-up-11-on-nba-news-2011-11-28

CHICAGO (MarketWatch) -- Shares of Madison Square Garden Inc. were up 11% Monday on news that there will be a 66-game NBA season starting Dec. 25 after a lockout by the league's owners ended Nov. 26. The company owns the MSG cable network, as well as the NBA's New York Knicks. Morgan Stanley analyst Benjamin Swinburne told clients Monday that the NBA's return is an "incremental positive" for Madison Square Garden, though the likelihood of increased revenue sharing for big-market teams like the Knicks could offset the fact that players will receive a smaller share of league dollars.
