You remember when the newspaper used to print all the stock info? Its a program modeled after that.52 week high,low,change and volume.From there you can pick what parameters to confine the search.

It doesn't have to be any secret program to do this simple of a scan.

Finviz.com stock screener

http://www.finviz.com/screener.ashx

Click on "Technical" tab, set 52 Week-High/Low filter to "0-3% above Low." Then I review results using the "Snapshot" category, but you can view them however you'd like.

I did not say it was secret.There are many programs out there that do the same thing.Ours was just made for us by a friend without all the fluff.Very basic and easy to use.

so...just to see if i'm reading right...You found this stock with a screener and had no idea what the company does. You did some research and really liked the company?

oh no i wasn't talking to you. there are plenty of ways to find the 52 week lows and then you have to get into doing some more DD to figure out why the stock has been flushing down the toilet. Sometimes you will come across stocks that are solid as a rock but because it hasn't move for a while people lose interest and sell to free up money for other hot stocks.

I had overheard some people talking about it in '09. Sounded interesting so I asked them about it. The lady told me she heard about it from a friend who lived in Australia (this was when UNIS was trading on the pinksheets because it was Australian company). So I checked it out for myself and it really looked like it had potential and it was consistently meeting all of it's goals. I'm still holding some shares from back then roughly $5.10 after the reverse split merger so once I sell I'll be getting some favorable tax treatment. But until that day

I will be prepared to buy about 33% more of my current position if it drops below $5 just hope to see it at $5.50+ by next month.

I did not find this through the sceener.It was brought to my attention by some Dr. friends of mine that are market players.

There are more than hundreds.LOL We split them into groups and start eliminating.Thats where our software comes in handy.We enter custom searches that narrow down what we are looking for.From there its all human DD and some research.

Yeah why'd I hop in on this one. I only have 175 shares so I might as well ride it out. Still boggles my mind why it drops so fast for apparently so much future potential.
