Investment stocks only...

as I get busier and busier with my first career as a professional musician I find it increasingly difficult to babysit the myriad of POS sub-penny otc/pink I have been trading, so I have now made the move to invest rather than trade. That being said I am on the hunt for stocks that sport a distinctive quality and that quality being that they go up and up and that I do not have to check them every single day (I no longer have the time or patience). If you are looking for 'flippers' then this is not the thread for you as you will not make massive gains on these stocks in short order, but you can sleep at night knowing that you will most likely make slow and steady gains on your holdings. So... I will start with a couple examples of what I am looking for

now how can you go wrong with this as a long term investment?
chart.ashx?t=BMT&ta=1&p=d&s=l

this one even pays a dividend, beautiful chart
chart.ashx?t=LINE&ta=1&p=d&s=l

I own both and both were relatively unaffect by last years economic meltdown (unfortunately this site will not allow me to post a chart going back any long than what I have posted but if you check a chart for either of these stocks going back a few years you will see what I mean)... these are exactly the kinds of investments I am seeking, let the games begin...

here is another... just found this one, looking at a possible entry, looks good for the long term, though overbought at the moment...

looking for a pullback on this one... nice accumulation... a bit volatile for my taste but not too worried about that if I buy at support...

Nice thread....I'll have to bookmark this one. I was wondering where you've been.

This particular chart is quite staggering I might add. For DECK you mention support but after the gap no settling time yet for a new support. Are you refering to the previous trading range?

I know...I should look at a weekly/60 etc., but doing quick DD on other stuff this morning! Just wanted to say hey...

good morning Ace and thanks. yeah, been pretty busy rehearsing/perfoming/recording, neglected a bunch of POS holdings in the process and had a mad scramble to make some of my money back on them, unfortunately there are not enough serious investors in penny stocks to ever get a long term gain on them and thus one of the main problems with those types of stocks and probably one of the primary reasons 99.9% of them are on a perpetual downtrend (think most people in those stocks are looking to get rich overnight, thus the cut and run mentality associated with the turds), anyhow enough said about the POS 'index', lol...

yeah, PIM does have a staggering chart dosen't it? as for Deck, I'm just looking to see if the gap settles to a lower price, lol, I'm sure there are some people in it with alot more money than I have to play with that will be taking profits, also history shows that DECK regurlarly gaps and fills.

strictly buy and hold, unfortunately I do not know enough about options to play them though I did see an interesting recent thread here on option plays. Until I have the time to educate myself on options I am steering clear.

update...

LINE... looking to buy more around 23.00

PIM... time to take a starter position, chart says its time as it bounces off the 20ma regularly, order in @5.80 and will adjust as necessary

DECK... retraced as expected, still not in the comfort zone for starting a position just yet but on its way, thinking 70.00s

ANY ONE have an opinion on TLAB - looks promising?????
may dip some more but "word" is that it's going to top 7.00 again soon

well, the chart sure suggests a possibility of 7.00 again

chart.ashx?t=TLAB&ta=1&p=d&s=l

stochs are at the bottom and accu has not been this high since this stock was @13.00, could be a good entry point, though its broken support it has rebounded nicely last two times it has broken support on the 50ma...

I'll have to do a bit of DD on this company, thanks for this...

yes... nothing major, I just stay informed of any new developments (castosrophic news, lol anything can happen), these companies seem pretty good though...

CSKI

Hi theone can you look at CSKI? The fundamentals are pretty amazing, but I did some research and there is debate about the sumei slim patch one of the companies best selling products. However, if the company is truly reporting the fundamentals with accuracy it could be a good investment.

on CSKI

chart.ashx?t=CSKI&ta=1&p=d&s=l

with all due respect and no offense intended, but this chart looks like doodoo... I am not looking for speculative plays here but rather solid investments, if there is 'debate' then I won't invest in it (when in doubt, I stay away). I like to start with solid technicals and then I check to see if the fundaments support what I am seeing on the chart.

CSKI

No offence taken, I just thought you may be a bit more risky

I have been more risky in the past and though there are big gains to be made on risky plays it is also time consuming and I don't really have the time anymore, also if your are looking to buy something for the long haul then risky plays are not the way to go, you want something solid with a good history, also, the less message board activity I see the better (says to me that there are serious investors involved and less day to day flippers)...

Anyone else think this is a good time to buy? Looks like a possible bounce like it did at $10 and $16.. so this could go to $26+ ?
