simple daytrade question

is it still considered a daytrade if you do it in pre-market or after-hours?

ex: i buy in PM & sell in normal market hours
OR
ex: i buy during normal hours & sell in after hours


i assume this is still a daytrade since its on the same day, but I couldn't find a soild answer to this anywere...

from open to close is a day trade. It doesn't matter when you enter.
