Silver miner so watch silver/gold.

I like the base QMM has been forming from between $0.50 and $0.75. These are long term support levels.

Short term the stock is looking bullish as well.

This is the big board forum. Which market does this stock trade on? Is it a penny stock, or Canadian, or both?

It trades on both the TSX Venture Exchange and also on the AMEX.

Although it does trade below $1.00, it still trades on the big board not on the OTCBB or OTC.

I was curious, as Google didn't show it as an AMEX stock. In fact when I try to pull up QMM it instead shows QTA.

QTA is the Canadian symbol.

Yahoo! Finance has it listed: http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=qmm

I'm very bullish long term on silver/gold and anything that would do well in an inflationary environment.

I picked up some shares Thursday of this small cap miner. QMM is still trading at -80% of it's peak and I think this little company is well positioned. The chart looks like it has formed a solid base and accumulation appears to be in progress.

Check out these other silver miners. Notice how they all bottomed at around the same time. QMM hasn't seen the stock price rise nearly as quickly as the others and I think this presents a great opportunity.

Always do your own DD.

Reduced my position yesterday on strength.

Waiting for a pullback/consolidation. These junior gold miners will fly if gold continues its upward course.

I thought QMM was more of a silver miner?

True.

Gold and silver trend in the same direction. So a bull market in gold is bullish for silver thus bullish for QMM.

Closed nicely today. If silver makes a push to $20 I expect QMM to approach $2.

Note QMM has a ways to go before catching up in terms of performance to other miners in the same sector.

Anyone else enjoying this ride ...

I missed it, not surprising. Instead I managed to buy the single worst performing stock on the entire market in the last month. Doubled down the other day and now I'm losing money twice as fast.

Could this recent surge have been manipulated? Looks like QMM might be unloading some debt (if I'm reading this correctly).

It is true that now 6M more shares will eventually be unloaded into the market by the holders of the Note, however, they won't want to dump them immediately lest the stock price tank so they'll probably unload them slowly.

I'm not sure if the recent price surge was manipulated in order to trigger the Note conversion. Perhaps.

Regardless I think this is a good move for QMM since now they have NO debt, $4M of cash on hand to continue exploration projects.

Did this get moved to the penny forum? It was just listed on AMEX so it's a big boy stock now.

Been following this, I missed a buy at $1.10 a couple weeks ago and I'm looking at $1.28-1.30 now if I can get a dip.

Looks like Quaterra is teaming up with Revett Minerals for some limited partnership type projects.

http://www.marketwire.com/press-rele...A-1083086.html

Here's the first half of the publicity release:

Quote:
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Nov. 30, 2009) - Quaterra Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:QTA)(NYSE Amex:QMM) today announced that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Revett Minerals Inc. that could enhance each company's business objectives.

The MOU may provide Quaterra with the opportunity to gain a foothold into Revett's production and development stage silver-copper holdings in the U.S. Revett's objective is to gain exposure to Quaterra's pipeline of precious and base metal exploration projects in North America, including the MacArthur/Yerington copper project in Nevada, the Nieves silver property in Zacatecas, Mexico, and the Americas-Mirasol gold/silver property in Durango, Mexico.

Both companies stand to benefit from the core competencies of the other. Revett's operating experience could be valuable in moving projects from final feasibility stage into production, while Quaterra's management has a proven track record of advancing projects from grass roots exploration to the development stage. The companies may work together on a project-by-project basis, at a corporate level through cross shareholdings, or with some other transaction which may prove to be of mutual benefit.
