Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone has been following EC. I did a search but couldn't find any posts regarding this company.

I know that EC has land in Ecuador very close to ARU's property before they were bought out by Kinross.

Ecometals Plans Drill Testing at Rio Zarza Gold Project Ecuador
Geophysical response, structural scenario and anomalous geochemistry analogous to Kinross Fruta del Norte Gold Deposit

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 26, 2009) - Ecometals Limited (TSX VENTURE:EC)(BERLIN:GDQ)(FRANKFURT:GDQ) -

Ecometals Limited is pleased to announce plans for diamond drill testing on the Rio Zarza Gold Project of anomalous geophysical and geochemistry results and structural scenario analogous to Kinross' Fruta del Norte Gold Deposit.

Rio Zarza Gold Project

The Rio Zarza Gold Project is located north of Zamora, the district capital of Zamora Chinchipe province, southeastern Ecuador. The project adjoins the Kinross (formerly Aurelian) exploration license which covers the Fruta del Norte epithermal deposit with a reported 13.7Moz Au (Micon, 2007).

Work on the Rio Zarza and other projects in the Ecometals portfolio has been on hold for the last year due to the imposition of a moratorium on exploration by the government of Ecuador, and enactment of new mining legislation and regulations. Ecometals is in the process of applying for environmental and water use permits to continue exploration, and plans to drill the Rio Zarza project as expediently as possible after receipt of these permits.

The west side of the Rio Zarza project is underlain by the Zamora granite batholith, and on the east side there is a volcano-sedimentary assemblage deposited in an extensional pull-apart rift basin which hosts the Kinross Fruta del Norte and Bonza las Penas deposits.

Detailed IP/Resistivity surveys have outlined a significant linear chargeability anomaly 200m width X 850m length associated with an interpreted fault structure which is analogous to the Fruta del Norte response. Anomalous Au and associated elements (As, Hg) are spatially correlated to the IP anomaly, and are characteristic of epithermal type mineralization. Silicification, disseminated sulphides and argillic/sericite alteration of the Suarez Fm suggest close proximity to the source of mineralization.

An initial programme of three diamond drill holes for a total of 1200m is planned to intersect the core of the IP chargeability anomaly. Should results prove encouraging, the drilling programme will be continued to further define the mineralization.

Further details and maps of the planned drilling program can be obtained from the Ecometals Web site (www.ecometalslimited.com).

Chief Executive Officer Fran Scola said, "The Company has made a considerable investment in Ecuador and has a long term commitment to the country, so we are pleased that after such a long enforced delay we are able to now announce our intention to test the potential of the Rio Zarza project."

Loaded up big time after i posted about EC. Looks like permits could be coming soon the way its been traded the past couple of days.

News

Environmental Plan approval was recieved today, the following should be expected soon:

- Community Awareness/Approval
- Final Drill Permits/Mobilization
- Drilling Start
- Assays [Both K & EC]

Good results and this thing could begin to mimic the Aurelian adjusted for shares outstanding of course. IMO good/similar results will put us well above the $1.00.

This is still in the early stages, it has dropped back into the mid .40's again since the spike, good entry here IMO.

News Release is below:

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 23, 2009) - Ecometals Limited (TSX VENTURE:EC - News; BERLIN:GDQ - News; FRANKFURT:GDQ - News) -

Ecometals Limited is pleased to announce receipt of the final approval resolution for its Environmental Management Plan and also the renewal of its Environmental Bond. This approval is the last major step ahead of consent to commence our drilling at Rio Zarza. There will now follow, in conjunction with the Ministry of Mines and the local communities within our area of influence, a Community Relations diffusion process to present and explain the project. We understand one of the major mining companies in the area completed this process earlier this month and is now waiting final permit approval from the Ministry of Mines. Since we are both dealing with the same communities, we are hopeful of a successful outcome. A contract has now been negotiated with drill contractors and site preparations and logistics have been finalised.

Things are definitely looking up for EC. Today was a nice day but too bad there was a sell off in the afternoon. Hopefully tomorrow people will realize that EC has huge potential. I was up big when EC reached 67 cents, my average price is around 20 cents. I'm not in EC for pennies, i'm in it for the hundreds of thousands/million.

Hope others on this board got in early or today!

Surprise not much talk here on this one. Should be a great risk/reward gold play here. The only company anywhere close to the ARU --- Kinross FDN deposit. Should get a nice jump on permit announcement from the Government in Ecuador. Also has a good chance of hitting gold as geological setting is similar to the FDN monster find.

As always do your own DD.

I am surprised there aren't many followers here of this and the surrounding area plays.

Almost a 100% gain since the last post here, as investors are pricing in the permit announcement.

Prime land...occasionally talked about in the FDN Technical report, good overall risk/reward IMO.

I'm loaded and patiently awaiting drill permits, silence as they say is golden. Area plays don't hold to much clout in this case I don't feel as K/ARU land surrounds FDN for the most part with few others actually near the anomaly. Good movement I would have taken it for my months pick but it was taken . All ecuador companies with good land holdings should gain from permits, I recently picked up some DMM and CGP, DMM being the most advanced.

Actually, the FDN discovery could just be one part of more discoveries in the area. EC was mentioned, along with DMM, as likely areas that have land positions with geology that mark similarities with the FDN deposit in the technical report on kinross's site. Excellent read, for anyone as anything that is not understood can be understood with a simple google.

Similar Geology to FDN doesn't mean FDN... the reason EC is attractive is that it might have the extension to FDN on their property. Similar geology is swell but... southern Ecuador has excellent geology everywhere so I was responding to the 'area play' comment specifically to FDN.

Finally we have our permits (as expected )

Should seee some nice gais over the next couple sessions as we are now mobilizing the drill. I've been long for a while and hope all others who were/are in finally see some "huge" payoffs

Here is part of the NR:

Ecometals to start Rio Zarza drilling in December

2009-12-01 13:23 ET - News Release Mr. Fran Scola reports
ECOMETALS ANNOUNCES DRILLING TO START AT RIO ZARZA GOLD PROJECT, ECUADOR
Ecometals Ltd. has all the approvals to enable diamond drilling at its Rio Zarza gold project in Ecuador. The company has ordered mobilization of the diamond drilling contractor and expects drilling to start by mid-December. Drill targets will test anomalous geophysical and geochemistry results, host lithologies and structural scenario analogous to Kinross's neighbouring Fruta del Norte gold deposit.
Rio Zarza gold project
The Rio Zarza gold project is located to the north of Zamora, the district capital of Zamora Chinchipe province, southeastern Ecuador. The project adjoins the Kinross (formerly Aurelian) exploration licence which covers the Fruta del Norte epithermal deposit with a reported 13.7 million ounces of gold (Micon, 2007).
Exploration results to date on the Rio Zarza project indicate anomalous gold and associated pathfinder elements typical of epithermal-style mineralization in a package of sedimentary and volcanic rocks formed in a pull-apart structural basin. Anomalous IP chargeability is indicative of sulphide mineralization, and detailed magnetic surveys indicate complex faulting. Hydrothermal alteration including bleaching, advanced argillic and chloritic alteration, and particularly sulphides and silicification are typical and analogous to the Fruta del Norte deposit.

Should get exciting from here

Well if you look at teh Condor project resource that justifies a SP of around .40 + Serra Do Navio so buying in the .90s still isn't really terrible. You might be able to catch the anticipation as the drills begin to turn... and results are anyones guess.

Check out CGP though I think it could start to begin to appreciate as they will be expecting permits soon with Intrepid drilling to satisfy the JV agreement.

Looking good here. Still holding!
Heavy tanking on EC in the past week, red week for them...

Went below newly established support, and moving down toward the hold on...

Im guessing 0.65 would be a nice entry point!
Huge drop today on no news. Drills continue to turn and no results have yet been released. Warrants expidited and may be some of the reason for teh drop. Imo this is now WAY oversold unless poor results ahve been leaked in which case time will tell and insider activity (when filed). I doubt any results were leaked thoguh as it woudl be all to obvious. Kinross results from FDN recent drilling due shortly...lets hope this is the bottom...
