Careful study.

The approval of droxidopa for NOH is a near lock and will generate revenues that make today's price per share a steal. On top of that they have several other things in the pipeline that have blockbuster potential. They probably wont succeed on all of them, but odds are good they hit at least one. For example, 4051 has strong clinical data already going for it.

A few hours of DD on Chelsea is worth people's time.

I just read that chtp has issued an offer of common stock. I'm confused.
I read somewhere they would be in need for cash in the next quarter. So this is not really surprising.
However, this is not good news for the actual shareholders as the number of shares on the market will increase and this will dilute the ownership position of the stockholders.
They are talking about raising 35 m$.
The actual number of shares is 40 million.
If they are sold through the market at 5$, we will have 7 million additional shares, so a total of 47 million shares.
Result of this would then be a dilution of 17,5% if I'm right.

This is how baby biotechs finance themselves. CHTP has been WAY more responsible than most of them when it comes to diluting. Up over 6% today on the offering. Their last offering in early spring...same thing. Price jumped upon the announcement.

Offering was fully subscribed today. This will raise around 35 million and highly unlikely they'll have to do another offering for at least a year. Furthermore, they are likely to have a revenue stream from Northera in the next year and announce a partnership for drox in Europe or 4051.

I'm pleased with the offering because it means they'll be keeping the droxidopa profits for shareholders, instead of sharing this future cashcow with a partner.

FDA does not require any additional efficacy data. Ie no need to wait until study 306 is completed in a few months. Instead Chelsea will file their NDA based on the 301 and 302 results.

This course of action comes from the FDA, not Chelsea. Ie the FDA has carefully looked at the existing data and green lighted the NDA. The writing is on the wall. In big letters.

Wonder why people are buying over 5k puts VS 1K calls?

I have not looked up the strikes and premiums for the more popular puts, but with a lower-priced stock there is probably less incentive to burn shorts by selling lots of puts. Instead, it could be that lots of longs are finding very cheap put protection if the premiums are low enough. I would most likely be looking for some cheap insurance after today's really nice pop if I held a good portion of shares long. Look at it this way, if you were long from 6.00 and you could buy some Jan 7.50 puts for let's say .65 or less, would you protect some or all of your position? I probably would, although I'd be more likely to see what happens at the open tomorrow (sell half or more of the shares if we open really weak, get cheaper puts if we open strong).

Met phase II ADHD trial endpoint. Very big potential market there.

Up over 100% since buying near its 2 year low. Double digits likely a matter of when, not if.

The third Food and Drug Administration decision in three days is scheduled for tomorrow, when the agency is scheduled to decide on the fate of Chelsea Therapeutics' (NAS: CHTP) Northera, a treatment for neurogenic orthostatic hypotension, or NOH.

The advisory panel recommended approval of the drug by a margin of 7-4, with one panelist abstaining and another deciding not to vote at all. Despite the positive recommendation, clearly the panel wasn't gung-ho about approving the drug, which will weigh on the agency that was already questioning the safety profile before the meeting.

Faruqi & Faruqi, LLP Encourages Investors Who Suffered Substantial Losses Investing in Chelsea Therapeutics International, Ltd. to Contact the Firm
2 days 8 hours 31 minutes ago - PR Newswire via Comtex
Faruqi & Faruqi, LLP, a leading national securities law firm, is investigating potential securities fraud at Chelsea Therapeutics International, Ltd. ("Chelsea" or the "Company") (Nasdaq: CHTP).

The investigation focuses on whether the Company and its executives violated federal securities laws by failing to disclose that: (1) Chelsea's Northera (droxidopa) product, an orally-active synthetic precursor of norepinephrine being developed for the treatment of symptomatic neurogenic orthostatic hypotension, would not receive approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration; and (2) the Company's numerous statements regarding the safety and efficacy of the product, as well as reportedly positive results from Northera's clinical trials, were materially false and misleading.

Ah I miss the Glitters vs Gamblers arguements over CHTP on pages 8 and 9. The good old days.

Just thought about it since noticed CHTP drop to 1.32 today.
