Thats makes perfect sense. But I thought you were sure it would pass. If you are not sure 50/50 or around there then yes your way is better. If someone wants to fight and is screaming it WILL pass then they need to use intrade for the 5s the money trade.

I think it will pass based on the research I have done, but it's obviously very close and could go either way. That's why I continually use the word opinion in my posts. There's no such thing as a sure thing, not when it comes to money. I am a law student so forgive me if my statements seem misleadingly confident. My little disclaimers at the end of my posts are supposed to make it clear that these are just my opinions and I am supporting them. You know, ya never start a position statement with, "I think" you start by setting up your position as fact.

I think it will pass too! Watch for CBIS to make a run tomorrow when the trends in the polls show a favoring of p19, and if it passes CBIS will run Wednesday morning

Im honestly calling it a straight 50/50. I really do not feel any poll is accurate on this one. The reason I say that is because my generation (the younger generation) is not used to voting. I highly doubt a lot of them are wasting their time taking polls. I think one of two things will happen. My generation will rally together to go and vote to pass this. Or.. they will just be too lazy. We all know the old people who have gone out and voted on everything for the passed 50 years will go out and vote no, but we do not know what the turn out of the younger generation will be.

However, I do happen to know that my grandpa is voting yes on P19 because he said hes always kinda wanted to try it hahaha. Maybe there will be more people with that mindset? Who knows..

Im holding 40% of my shares still and will hope for the best. Ive over doubled up my money (just in what Ive sold), and am quite content gambling the freebies I am still holding. I dont see this being a long shot, but its far from a sure thing.

One should consider how many people ages 18-25 have land lines in this day and age, then consider the fact that these polls dial land lines. . .

true in deed good sir! I doubt they contacted a lot of young voters limiting their calls to land lines only!

Would you guys say $0.17 is too high of an entry point? I really wanted to purchase it around $0.13, but I was hesitant as this will be my first Penny Stock that I've purchased. Any chance it will drop a few cents tomorrow or should I go ahead and buy now and hope prop 19 passes? I think this will be the biggest MMJ stock to own for years to come. After doing some research and seeing the products they are joint-developing with other companies, I could easily see this going to $1+ in a year or two if it isn't acquired by a bigger pharmaceutical company first. Of course this is only if prop 19 passes in Cali and a few other states.

prop 19 will pass, but what happens after is open..

I would not get in at .17. Im in at a nickel and have sold over half of my shares at .20. Im holding the other 40% just in case.. but honestly, Im only risking the money because its freebies... Up to you though. just my opinion.

I think I'll hold off and hopefully people get discouraged throughout the day tomorrow and i can pick them up cheaper. Otherwise I might just have to pass on this one. Assuming prop 19 does pass though, what kind of gains are we looking at? I keep imagining like .50 or .80 a share but I think I'm very optimistic about that lol

this one's done. on to the next one

I beg to differ. The innacuracy of the polls leads me to think that there's still a very good chance that it will pass. Stay tuned guys

Well, I'm still holding a few (1K) shares on the small chance it'll suddenly quadruple in price after the election. I think there's a possibility that prop 19 failing is priced in, and that other states passing medical marijuana laws could cause a surge in interest.

Dividend info released: Cannabis Science Announces a Proposed 10:1 Ratio Structured Dividend Payout for a New Class of Common Shares to Shareholders of Record as of November 30, 2010
2:15p ET November 2, 2010 (PR NewsWire)
Cannabis Science, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: CBIS), a pioneering US biotech company developing pharmaceutical cannabis products, is pleased to announce to its shareholders and the investment community that its Board of Directors have confirmed decisions and processes regarding the new class of common shares. The new class will initially be created by a proposed 1 for 10 new share dividend payment for shareholders of record as of the proposed record date of November 30, 2010.

The proposed structuring and implementation of the new class of common shares requires various state, SEC and FINRA filings and approvals. The Company will announce official filings and provide guidance as to target effective dates as it progresses through the process. The proposed structure is as follows: New Share Class

The Company's proposed new common share structure will include Class A as the new Class, and Class B will be the current outstanding trading common shares. Each Class of shares will have its own trading symbol and will contain the following features:

Class A Common Share Features (New class of common shares):

10 votes per shares

Convertible into Common Class B shares at a ratio of 30 for 1

Ratio participation of 9/10th (90%) on declared dividends

Unique trading symbol

Class B Common Share Features (Current class of common shares):

1 vote per share

Not convertible into other classes of shares

Ratio participation of 1/10th (10%) on declared dividends

Unique trading symbol

The price ratio conversion feature on the new Class A shares is to ensure the integrity of the share price ratio during market fluctuations between the new Class A and B common share classes, similar to that of Berkshire Hathaway's Class A and B common shares.

Dividend

Cannabis Science proposes to issue a special dividend to all shareholders of the current common Class B shares on the proposed record date of November 30, 2010, which will consist of shares in the new common Class A shares at the ratio of 1:10 for each common Class B share held.

In addition, the Board proposes to give each shareholder of record a share purchase warrant consisting of an option to purchase one additional share of the new common Class A share for each special dividend share received. Each warrant will be exercisable into one of the new common Class A shares at a price of $0.50 per share for a period of three - (3) months, expiring 90-days after all the proposed changes officially take effect.

For example, a Cannabis Science shareholder who owns 1,000,000 of the current common shares on November 30, 2010 will receive a special dividend of 100,000 shares of common Class A shares in Cannabis Science and 100,000 share purchase warrants, to purchase 100,000 additional Class A shares at a purchase price of $0.50 per share for a period of three - (3) months, expiring 90-days after all the proposed changes officially take effect.
