if it's free then what you just said doesn't matter, none of those companies are bound by contracts. although these big companies would be stupid to not throw down pocket change for this service.
They start paying 6/1, so I don't expect revenues/financials until after that. we might get some pr's of # of companies etc in June, but 2nd quarter financials in July could be decent and more important would be 3rd quarter financials in October.

If you can predict a price target more than once and get it right im sure a lot of the more experienced people on here will get off your back...just dont expect a pat on the back for 1 good guess I think thats what the majority of people in this thread are getting at...basically dont beat your chest over getting one pick right one time.

Well if you read last weeks PR, they are accepting cash or stock from all 8700 public companies in order to supply them with text to voice for their stock symbols.

... ahem.

I've already listed the companies who're on board that 'work' with which is making no money supposedly and we're talking fairly large here... Walmart... McDonalds, Blizzard and Pepsi??

Miiiilllions of consumers buy from those companies... and people cant seem to get their cellphones out of their ears...or face

...smell the mocha coffee man.

My only thought is this: How often is someone looking to call Pepsi, McDonald's, etc?

we'll see - you can use Fed-Ex and so much more.. i doubt companies would jump on board if they didnt see a chance to use this. And think about it on a global front. You still just don't get it

I can see it working for a number of companies, but in looking at the list it just seems like companies I would never call.

They would probably just use it to give you information on a sale or something. Like at the end of a commercial they would say "text Nissan to go800 for more information."

Sorry, dont know how that happened. Looked at an old post

I hate to dwell on the distant past, but I'm still PO'd by this response and just made it back to this thread today to review it.

I've never been here asking for someone to teach me to fish.

I've barely offered any feedback at all other than criticism for a thread going so off-topic that it is no longer useful. At the time, we even had mods taking it off topic.

Gambler, you must have such a huge ego deficiency if for 1 second presume I have any interest at all in your "teaching." Get over yourself.

I get it. I get it that all these companies have signed up to try this service, for free, until the end of May. Then, begining June 1st, if they want to continue this service, they must pay up front, begining June 1st and sign a contract. What I get is that it's free for now and they aren't "on board" until they starting paying June 1st. Don't get me wrong, I've been in and out of this twice and looking for another re-entry prior to June 1st, just in case.

Mata, you must be one to hold grudges because that post was soooo long ago yet you are bringing it up again.

I wasn't saying that I was the one doing the teaching, just that some of the 'OT' posts on trading theory could be far more useful in the development of a trader, than most of the simpler posts...

consider a post like this

"GOIG is going to 0.03 because I like it, and my friend told me to buy it"

or

"GOIG is going back down to 0.014, because I feel it!"

...now how much does that help a trader learn? Not at all. Yet the posts that are debating the merits of tech trading vs gut feeling are really the most important posts in this thread, because they are TEACHING traders how to fish, so to speak.

Nowhere did I state that I was the one reaching down from my ivory tower, teaching YOU to fish. Apparently you must feel threatened by my posts, for some reason, because that is how you interpreted it.

they dont have to pay up front, you never read the pr last obviously. they can trade stock for this...

stop making up excuses and look at whats going on, yes there are thousands of pnds, yes this could still be a pnd but - the chance is pretty slim considering that they are even bothering with,
post #3859 of 4783
if one of the big companies signs up..the competition will follow suit and then its going to blow this stock up. That is the question.

IFFFFF

Chase signs up and uses it, B of A will....etc. The thing is with these as well, if you do not have skin in the game prior, you are going to miss the boat, so either way people should have money in this. Whether its free shares now or a small portion of their portfolio (risk portion not worried about losing etc)

IMO they are asking for quite a bit...

For Public Companies that would prefer to pay GO800 in stock, GO800 will accept the equivalent of $25,000 in restricted shares.
I don't pretend to run a large cap company and $25k is I'm sure chump change for a lot of them, but I would still weigh the risk vs. reward for this kind of exchange. I'd be interested to see how it panned out and how many companies took them up on this offer.
