Can't really make heads or tails on this stock. Perhaps someone else can chime in with their opinion? Interested to hear other analysis.

First up is the weekly chart. The stock has been in a downtrend since the end of April. It looked as if it would break through the channel today but it retraced its gains when all was said and done.

When I take a look at the Daily chart, DeVry has been in a clear uptrend since the beginning of the July.

Here is a clearer picture of the uptrend thanks to the 60 minute chart.

Here is the final chart, a Volume by Price, pretty much a poor man's VWAP. My guess is that if there is a lot of volume to the upside, the stock can run back to $55 pretty quickly

I guess I am bullish if the market as a whole is bullish until DeVry gets to that $55 range. But if the market is bearish, I think the Daily trend will be overrun by the Weekly trend and the stock can drop pretty fast...

The weekly pattern is kicking ass today. Guess the longer pattern prevails until proven otherwise

man i could have made an extra grand by now......can't believe i hold the losing stocks and sell the gaining stocks.....incredible.

Hmmm. Potential resistance @ 60 or also the possibility that the stock will retrace its big day like it has done before. IF it does drop though, I can still see it rallying soon thereafter.

DeVry and fellow for-profit org are coming under scrutiny because gov't is questioning whether the money they charge for tuition is acceptable and might cut back on funding because many students come out of college with large debt and small wages. Aka their degrees aren't worth much in the working world.

Tread carefully if you are long imo. DV and EDR might be back on my shorting list even after for-profits had a great rally around earnings report

It would be worth shorting this one to $1. In this bad economy these schools will be worth shit in 2-3 years.
