Rowdy's FDA Plays ... (and pinch plays, too)... - Page 34

New blog is up, check it out and let me know what you think

The CPIX delay might hop over my stop, but that's just how it goes sometimes... Delays can mean more anticipation so I should have the chance to make up any losses there...

JAZZ will be fun on Monday, but it's too early to tell if I'll make any profits. Either way, that money will go into QCOR or SVNT; VRX and FRX could move also. One eye is reserved for ARNA, gl.

IMGG never got the dip I was looking for, but will ride my base of freebes into this MoMo run. It really heated up today and its all due to thius 150day timeline some have hyped of Sept 5-8th. I bet it continues to trend upward into next week. A week from this comming Friday and still no FDA approval word, best be the first rat off the boat. Could get ugly fast and a great time to load the boat for the real wait for news. The best thing, no one really knows. I may dump most above .40. That was my master plan, but stepping back, adding more and watch a few more days. I still feel in my heart its gonna miss this artificial hyped date.

It's been awhile since I posted...but, as you can see, the fail t-shirt avatar has returned due to the beating I continue to take this year...

Also, trading has been tough on my 12kbps satellite-dial-up internet...

I just discovered that HGSI has an FDA panel for their blockbuster lupus drug on Nov. 16th and I refuse to sit this one out (it could move like ITMN!). I think this hits $14 or $35 upon any panel outcome and I'll be going with a $33 call/$20 put options straddle, gl.

One month to go!

Good article here on MYRX and a possible near-term catalyst:

http://seekingalpha.com/article/2349...nd-undervalued

One glance at this chart and this risk/reward seems too good to pass up, imo; the July 2010 low of 3.56 held up a few days ago and that's a no-brainer stop for me at ~3.55. Jumpin' in Monday unless it gaps up, gl.

MITI is on my watchlist.

Big share swap for operational cash and I'm expecting it to tank over time till they get their FDA approval.

This is the nice video pump I got a few days ago compliments from an I-hub e-mail.
Its definitly worth the look.

http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards...ge_id=56565216

Its the old style pump we used to get back in the 70's, 80's and into the 90's before the internet moved information with in seconds. It never mentions MITI but its all a lead in to get you to buy a subscription just to get the pick. Like it took me less than a few minutes to get the pick.
Okay so its designed to sell some cheesy subscriptio but do they have a heads up on this stock or not. If what they say is on target, its got me watching. Without mentioning the ticker symbol, they were not trying to pump this stock, just themselves. So the jury is still out on MITI.

Make up your mind for your self. Maybe take a position down below $3 per share. In the low $2's I'd love. Just watching to see how far this 10MM share dilution will take it.

On a more human note, it would be wonderful if we have a real treatment for Cancer. Their partners are impressive and great reason to be looking.

enjoy!

Stopped out of my HGSI strangle; +11% in 5 days and ready for ride #2 next week. Leaning towards 17.50 puts, since the 20.00's got a tad expensive, gl.

OREX panel is early December; radar.

For sure we have $6.00 and $5.5 with big Ole bulls eyes on their backs. 6 looks like road kill today, but expected.

DDing from May and its historic run up to where we are today. Getting dialed into this story this week end.

My biggest question is why dilute 10mm shares now? The MoMo was at an all time high. Great news since May and then this pump I got that this is the best thing since Penicillian. How are the finances after all these marketing /Partnerships from the big pharma playas. Cash Burn rate that bad?

And that pump was not to bring news eyes into the stock, but alternative motives. So I'm cool with that.

I just find it ironic that the pump got me looking and DDing, then the dilution hits. Killer timming IMHO.

Bust #1

Well, I lost the last of my trading money with HGSI options so it looks like I'll be taking a break for awhile...which blows...

TRDY is a good cheap shell awaiting 10Q after hours Monday. The MoMo and stalking DD is incredible on the HUB. I'm in big and churned a few times just for # of shares.

We think an Oil and Gas will be announced within the 10Q and it runs Urber hard.
Good for a few $100 if ya can muster anything.

Well I couldn't think of a better way to "spend" my 3006th post than by reviving my own thread.  Yes, I have no shame.  Later this year I plan to open my first Roth IRA (self-managed), so it's time to get back in the game.

I will still favor FDA plays aka biotechs with impending FDA catalysts (PDUFA, Panels, etc.), but I will also look at some pinch plays and a few scattered (GASP) buy-and-holds.

FDA Plays
For starters and time being...until something changes...I plan to accumulate small amounts of EXAS and ACCP with perhaps a tiny position in OGXI due to their blockbuster pipeline clinical trials.   OREX and MELA look very tempting down here, also.  The rest:

Copy cat!   I just posted some of those on my thread. LOL

Good luck. Roth IRA is what I did a few years ago. It's been great. Was looking at ANX but that stock scares me.

I hope some peeps got in on the ACUR and EXAS breakouts!  "Something" has come up and I'm out of town indefinitely.  I won't be trading actively until I return home, but good luck traders.

Catching up on some biotechs:

http://www.thestreet.com/story/11166445/6/10-cheap-biotech-stocks-that-could-soar.html

http://www.thestreet.com/story/11171001/1/biotech-stock-mailbag-ranking-cheap-biotechs.html

The stars seemed to have aligned for CYCC, here.  Stock offering news today beat this down to a new 52-week intraday low, but not a new low close (resilience?)...  Now they have cash to finish out their Phase III trial which is the sort of anticipation catalyst that makes biotechs fun.  I'll be surprised if this doesn't rise from here, but it's an easy bail at a new low whether intraday or close.  Seems to easy...

The last piece of the puzzle (which I don't have) is the general timeframe for results to be released...because clinical trials have worse odds than roulette and holding through results with anything other than profits or a small position is stupid.  Whee!
