Those are the guys who held through from Nov. '08 including last March lows. I might cover at 38 but be prepared for another nose dive when the eastern seaboard starts losing its tourism dollars ($60B/ year in Florida alone). This is going to be one of those long drawn out disasters with unexpected horrors occurring in six months or a year from now.

I just got back from the panhandle on an anniversary vacation to Saint Mark's federal preserve, hundreds of square miles of unadulterated coastal marsh.. Glad our anniversary is in early April. This spot next to lighthouse point, facing the Gulf of Mexico to the south, may never be the same again.

anyone see that CNN interview?

What a lying bastard from BP "we still believe the 5000 is a valid number"
The surface oil is what is valid...
The well is tremendous gaseous pressure, the experts are incorrect.

Its also made it in the gulf stream.. and a 10mi wide plume under the surface ..things i thought would occur.

The dispursments they are using, they say are like a dish soap which breaks the oil up into small droplets and then bacteria eats it?

Also they are using alot of this, from a company they have close ties with, when other methods from the EPA that can be twice as effective and less toxic are overlooked..

mjoke, I was not aware about their ties to the recovery company that is interesting. I agree though, that 5,000 barrels a day number does not seem to add up to the large amounts below the surface combined with what is washing up on shores. BP the company still has a long way to go before this is over, I'd think their stock does as well.

Why cant they just set some explosives deeper within the pipe, and cause an explosion to collapse the sea floor over the pipe?

BP is trying to "save" their oil field find, not destroy it....sickening...IMO.

To stop the leak they have to go down 5000 feet, then drill 13000 sub surface feet at at angle to existing pipe and poor concrete into it..Didnt we see something like this in Armagedon?

they will liquidate and sell off long before they file BK. XOM/COP/CVX are probably already making offers, IMO.

i was looking at the Santa Barbarba off shore spill back in 69 which marred about 30 miles of beach, my elder coworker was telling me how huge that was. It spilled a total of 200,000 gallons. 200,000 gal is what is spilling a day in the gulf.
