A couple new additions to the rules, again, no exceptions.
-Stocks must trade on one of the major US exchanges, no pinksheets or OTCBB.
-Leveraged ETFs will be allowed, but you can only pick one, 1 out of your 2 picks. If someone picks 2 leveraged ETFs for their picks, the second one they posted is still up for grabs. The reason I am doing this is to give as many people a chance to play one. Leveraged means 2x or 3x.
The rest of the rules:
- Pick 2 stock picks, either both long, short, or one of each.
- The stock must open at $5 or more on the first day.
- Once you submit your picks, no changing them, even if it is before the contest starts.
- If you submit one pick and are waiting to find another one, don't edit your original post with the second. Just make a new post with your second pick. Otherwise, I won't be able to tell if someone is changing their picks.
- It is your responsibility to make sure you are not duplicating someone else's trade. Someone can go long AAPL while someone else shorts it, but no two people can trade the same stock in the same direction. If you duplicate someone else's pick and we don't catch it until the contest has started, you get a no pick.
The contest starts Monday the second. That day's opening price is your entry price. You may request to close your positions (either just one or both) whenever you want, but you are getting that day's closing price or the next day's open, depending on if you requested before or after the market closes. The winner will receive an award icon under their username, kind of like the stars you used to get on your tests in kindergarten, but way sweeter. It basically makes you one of the cool kids.
