Cyber Crime Investigation Company Buys Rights to Hit Show "Atlanta Investigations" and Names New Board Director
11:55a ET March 25, 2009 (Market Wire)
LIGATT Security International (PINKSHEETS: IGTP) announced today that the company has signed a Letter of Intent with StarMaxx Media and Senior Producer Carl Millender to purchase rights to the hit television series, "Atlanta Investigations," formally "Atlanta Homicide." With a viewer base of 17.8 million homes, "Atlanta Investigations" is the number one watched drama series on CoLours TV and is currently generating revenue.
"Atlanta Homicide" is a primetime crime series that airs on the Dish Network channel 9407, which is viewed by 15% of all US households, and details the accounts of some of Atlanta's most perplexing unsolved murder cases. The series features real investigation cases much like "America's Most Wanted" while incorporating an element of drama, as in hit CBS network programs, "CSI" and "Cold Case." In season two, the title of the program will be changed to "Atlanta Investigations" and will feature not only homicides, but all types of unsolved crimes including identity theft, cyber stalking, computer hacking, and other hi-tech crime investigations.
"Atlanta Investigations" is currently in the pre-production of its second season and is scheduled to commence in June 2009, Thursday evenings at 6:00pm and again at 1:00am. Production of the television series consists of extensive case research and consulting a variety of experts including Billy Johnson, an extradition and rewards specialist for Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue, in order to ensure the accuracy of each case. "Atlanta Investigations" highlights each case in the hope that by showing and reevaluating the evidence, the program will generate new leads that will result in an arrest.
"At LIGATT Security, we are eager to use our skilled cyber-crime investigators to evaluate some of Atlanta's most inexplicable crimes," says CEO of LIGATT Security International, Gregory Evans. "People from around the world will be able to see us investigate hi-tech crimes, and see why we are the best hi-tech crime investigations company in the world," says Evans. LIGATT Security will use its Certified Ethical Hackers and Cyber-Crime Specialists in order to solve crimes on all technology and computer security related episodes.
LIGATT Security has already made an impact in the cyber-crime investigation industry through donating promotional calling cards from SPOOFEM.com, a telephone spoofing service offered by LIGATT Security, to local law enforcement agencies. The company has also aided in the tracking of criminals who have used technology before, during or after the crime has been committed. LIGATT Security employs a network of bureaucrats that include ex-law enforcement officials, Certified Ethical Hackers and ex-military officials.
"We created the series in order to bring a sense of peace to the families of the victims," says Carl Millender, Co-Creator and Producer of "Atlanta Investigations." "I am confident that the professionals at LIGATT Security International will aid the governor's office in unveiling essential information for each case."
Millender, an expert in corporate management and entertainment, has been a consultant for hit television shows such as "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" and "Seinfeld." Carl Millender will be appointed to the Board of Directors for LIGATT Security International, and will use his management experience to further develop the company. For Millender's full biography, go to LIGATT Security's investor relations website.
The purchasing of rights to "Atlanta Investigations" will be the first in LIGATT Security's acquisition initiatives. LIGATT Security, which recently merged with Intelligent Sports, Inc. to form LIGATT Security International (IGTP), has previously announced plans to begin acquiring fellow technology companies. "By purchasing rights to 'Atlanta Investigations,' we are broadening our client base as well as using our expertise to clean up the community, an effort that is both economically and personally rewarding," Evans asserts.
Filming for "Atlanta Investigations" takes place at various locations in the metro Atlanta, Georgia area. During each one hour episode there are 8 commercial slots that are owned by LIGATT Security and will be sold to advertisers. In addition to LIGATT Security inserting its brand in each episode, LIGATT will sell product placement to other advertisers. LIGATT Security is currently in negotiations with advertising agencies to sell product placement and sponsorships.
Gregory Evans will be posting a video blog regarding this acquisition, today at 1pm. Evans will also be speaking on Identity Theft today at 5pm eastern time on the nationally syndicated radio show "The Michael Baisden Show," which is the number one rated African American radio talk show.
LIGATT Security is one of the nation's premier hi-tech security companies and is recognized as a leader in computer security, CCTV surveillance and cyber-crime investigation.
