GNK - Genco Shipping & Trading Ltd. - Page 9

It hit 17.05 yesterday and was showing positive signs this morning, so I set a sell order for 25% of my position at 17.02 and it just hit. I'm still down on this stock, but that helped bring my average cost down. It also helped get my margin balance lower.

Damm, it's on fire now. Looks like the Space Shuttle blasting off.

****ed up part was I knew it was gonna take off when i sold, bitches =\

Over 14% of float is short and it's up almost 4% today. I can't see any reason for it to be going up other than the stimulus plan and some short squeezing going on. Looks like it might be a bumpy ride here soon.
Somebody just bought a messload of this, pushing the price over 18 temporarily. Strong uptrend today so it may have been a short squeeze, although I'm not wise enough to say for sure.
This is starting to look very attractive and not too far from a 52 week low. Anyone thinking of jumping on board soon?
Should have sold a little more back when it was over 17. Back down close to 15 again, my last three buys were 6/30, 8/13 and 9/22 when it was between 15 and 15.20. I can't see this going much lower unless the European market completely collapses.

DRYS,DSX,and GNK were all upgraded today by GS. I have a buy in for GNK at 14.50. It may not get filled, but, its worth a shot.
I would say your chances of that filling are between slim and none. My guess is between 14.95 and 15.05 will be the lowest it will go on this cycle. If you look at the 2 year chart there is rock solid support near 15.

You are probably right. Its a lowball bid should we have a really nasty day.
Wow, I missed that one. 14.87 and dropping.
I buckled and changed my order to 14.88 which filled. So,what happens? It drops right after my buy.

DSX is flying...go figure.
Wow, once again I picked the wrong horse.

I got back in, I sold my entire position, The ngot back in at 16.05, then 15.30ish something.

Why? like skwerl said, Ive tracked bulkers for 2-3 years now. GNK has rock solid support at 14. I remeber buying it at 12$ around 2-3 years ago and rode it to 19$

Anywho, Why do I think its going back up? I may be wrong, I may be right, I have no idea.

All there ships, Are new. They will have little to no maintence on those things, and if it comes down to it, they can sell them. They got bonghole loads of cash on books.

All the others shippers have old ships and will be having to get new ones soons anyway, GNK already did that, When it was the worst of the worst recession ever, It was still pumping. Food being on the rise? What is it? Grain thats going crazy? GNK is a main shipper of grain and such of that nature. And rumor has it China is gonna start back into building and mainstructuring outland china. mmmm thats alot of iron/steel etc.

Obamas bitch ass said he plans to double export. Whats export? Shipping to different countries! Only way these shippers go under, If the world comes to an end and all countries decide to never ever ship anything to each other ever again, and I DOUBT that ever happens, We all need eachother.

at least SVM is looking good again....if you're long still..

Shippers have been getting a lot of negative attention lately...
I dunno man, I have no facts to back it up but something tells me that these shippers are gonna blow the hell up soon. Its gonna get to the point where they will lose money, and there gonna say

"No more, your either paying this, or we arnt shipping shit"

I mean think about it, What did they say? if it goes what? under 14,000$ a day a ship IS LOSING money.

Genco (GNK) Had damn profits q3, And wasnt that one of the worst dips?
A huge green day, market is up 250 points and this farking dog is up four lousy cents. I wish to hell I would have put my money elsewhere for the last year. I really hate thinking about the potential gains I've missed because my money was parked in this dog doing absolutely nothing.
