Ok now for those who wanted teh version that auto pulls stock data from the web. It took me a long time to find a free add-in to do this and took me even longer to understand how to use the add-in. Some of tha pages i will post for download are mine created with the add-in and some are a few I found but i kinda reorganized and made look prettier. I am posting how I made it work. The sheets i post that use this will be locked. There is formulas involved that cannot be changed. Most often only the ticker will be able to be changed. I didn't not invent the add-in so only know so much but have a fairly good grasp. It is an impressive add-in it just takes an immense amount of time to get it all to work right in the sheet and make it user friendly. You have to allow macros in excel when you use it. You will get a warning but its just windows being gay about your pc pulling the data. It is not a virus etc. IT has been scanned by me but again use at your own risk. I have been suing it for a month now with no issues. In fact i find it really handy.
First you must download these files.
http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=0...e8dd9652ef10e3
download all files to a folder named: SMF Add-in (make sure u make a new folder with this name and place all files in it)
then move or copy that folder to your c drive and in the folder "program files"

Once that is done go into excel
then in upper left corner click the windows logo (the new windows theme in excel 2007)
then go to excel options
choose add-ins then choose go

then make sure stock market functions is selected and press ok

load this file
http://www.mediafire.com/file/vkn2dnzjnut/Historical Quotes.xls
When loaded you may not get anything if so you may see above the sheet where it says macro has been disabled, please click this and allow it.

You should then be able to type a ticker and get historical quotes. If you have issues let me know and i will do what i can. First thing to do is reread this to see if you put files in correct folder.
in the end it should look like this and puul quotes automatically

i have many more to add but first get the add-in to work correctly
