Obama, the jig is up

LTC Terry Lakin is standing up for the Constitution, his oath of service and every American who believes they both still matter.

WASHINGTON – Now that every member of Congress has received a certified letter from Lucas Daniel Smith, accompanied by what he claims is a certified copy of Obama’s Kenyan birth certificate procured from Coast Province General Hospital in Mombasa, Kenya in February 2009, as well as an offer to testify under oath, the silence from Congress on the subject is deafening.

It’s really irrelevant where Obama was born, he’s still not a “natural born” citizen and is constitutionally ineligible to hold the office of President of the United States, if, in fact, Obama’s father was who Obama claims.

If Obama’s father was Barack Hussein Obama, a foreign national who was only attending college on a student visa and was never a resident of the United States, Obama II, at birth, would be a dual citizen at best, and constitutionally ineligible to hold office.

Obama’s long-form birth certificate would clear that issue up in a nanosecond. It would most likely also prove his ineligibility.

However, Obama still needs to explain how he obtained a Connecticut Social Security Number (SSN) while he was attending high school in Honolulu.

That’s going to be more difficult to clear up because that same number Obama’s been using, 042-68-4425, has been associated with another individual born in 1890 who was issued the very same SSN in Connecticut circa 1976.

That same SSN is also embedded in what we have proven to be Obama’s fraudulent Selective Service System registration, created after the fact in 2008, not in 1980, as those sloppily attempting to cover up for Obama’s past profess.

Obama didn’t register for the Selective Service in 1980, which proves another problem for the usurper in the White House. Failure to register should have forever precluded Obama from holding any position in the executive branch of the federal government.

So, when will someone – anyone – in Congress stand up and tell Obama the jig is up?

Meanwhile, with their silence, every member of Congress is allowing Lt. Col. Terry Lakin to face court martial and throw away more than 18 years of exemplary military service in his effort to protect the Constitution, which he, like every member of Congress, took an oath to uphold. Obeying illegal orders is an offense subject to prosecution just like refusing to follow legitimate orders.

Army Col. Denise R. Lind, the Army judge presiding over Lakin’s court martial, recently denied Lakin access to any of Obama’s records or testimony from those with access to those records that would prove whether or not Obama is legitimately holding office and if his orders are legal or illegal.

Lind stated the evidence could prove to be an “embarrassment” to Obama and has essentially deprived Lakin of his defense.

It’s unclear how the Army plans to proceed with Lakin’s court martial by simply asserting orders handed down through the chain of command, beginning with Obama as commander in chief, are legitimate, when all the evidence tips heavily toward Obama illegitimately holding office.

Perhaps Congress should steal a page out of the Honduran playbook on how to remove an unconstitutional president from office. While the removal was met with cheers from the citizens of Honduras, Obama called the removal of Honduran President Manuel Zelaya “illegal” and said he wanted to be very clear that Zelaya was the democratically elected president.

Anyone listening seriously to what Obama has been saying since 2007 knows that Obama never has had, and will never have, any touch other than a great passion to prove that American exceptionalism is a myth.

Obama is truly an anti-American radical whose rise to power is proof positive that American exceptionalism is non-existent—-among Democrats.

The president’s denial continues despite his pathetic poll numbers and the looming thrashing Democrats are likely to suffer come November. Still, Obama believes that the Change he brought is worth guarding.

With all due respect, Mr. President, the American people appear more inclined to “Change the Guard” than to guard the disastrous change that you have wrought!

September 28, 2010 -- It's like McCarthyism all over again.

On September 24, FBI agents raided the homes of some anti-war activists in Chicago and Minneapolis on suspicion that they were providing material support to terrorism.

This follows only a few weeks after it was discovered that Pennsylvania's Office of Homeland Security had been spying on activist groups in the Keystone State.

The Chicago Tribune quotes one of the harassed activists in Minnesota as calling the searches "an outrageous fishing expedition."

Indeed. But this is apparently how our tax dollars are being used.

Apparently the authorities still subscribe to the George W. Bush-style assumption that if you're not in lockstep with the government's policies, then you must be with the terrorists.

And the Bush administration's knee-jerk, fear-based policies in response to 9/11 have arguably made it legal for agencies to conduct these witch hunts.

The Patriot Act broadened the definition of domestic terrorism to an extent that it "may have a chilling effect on the U.S. and international rights to free expression and association," says Amnesty International USA.

Amnesty continues: "The law defines 'domestic terrorism' as acts committed in the United States 'dangerous to human life that are a violation of the criminal laws,' if the U.S. government determines that they 'appear to be intended' to 'influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion,' or 'to intimidate or coerce a civilian population.' Such ambiguous language allows for loose interpretation that might violate civil liberties and international human rights."

As we're seeing right now.

To further complicate things, as I wrote back in June regarding Holder v. Humanitarian Law Project, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that it is not unconstitutional for the government to block speech and other forms of advocacy supporting a foreign organization that has been officially (and arbitrarily) labeled as terrorist, even if the aim is to support such a group's peaceful or humanitarian actions.

Coincidentally, the Justice Department's Inspector General released a timely report last week after a review of FBI crackdowns on peace and social justice activists during the George W. Bush administration. The report is rather critical of the FBI.

The ProPublica Blog summarizes:

"The FBI activities reviewed by the Justice Department took place from 2001 to 2006, and involved groups including the Thomas Merton Center (a Pittsburgh social justice center), People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), Greenpeace, The Catholic Worker (communities of religious pacifists) and a Quaker peace activist.

"The report by the Justice Department watchdog didn't find that the FBI targeted these groups on the basis of their free speech activities - which would be a serious violation of FBI guidelines - but did fault the agency for other reasons, most notably a 'factually weak' basis for opening investigations.

"'FBI agents and supervisors sometimes provided the [Office of the Inspector General] with speculative, after-the-fact rationalizations for their prior decisions to open investigations that we did not find persuasive,' the report said.

"The report also found that that the FBI unnecessarily classified its probes as domestic terrorism investigations, even though some of the potential crimes were trespassing or vandalism - acts not normally considered to be terrorism. This classification resulted in several individuals improperly being placed on terrorism watchlists.

"The Inspector General also found that the FBI gave 'inaccurate and misleading' explanations to justify its attendance at a 2002 rally against the Iraq war organized by the Merton Center."

How much farther will they have to go before this becomes an actual police state?

Authorities Plan To Trawl Phone Calls And E Mail For Signs Of “Resentment Toward Government”

Do you resent the government for enforcing Obamacare or raising your taxes? Write about it in an email or talk about it on the phone and you could be placed under surveillance as a potential terrorist, if frightening new technology being shopped to law enforcement agencies is implemented.

Forget pre-crime and get ready for face-crime, Big Brother is set to unleash a new wave of shockingly invasive and Orwellian technology on the American people if a recent symposium in Hamburg New York is anything to go by. Federal agencies, police departments and others were all in attendance to see a demonstration of a system that trawls phone conversations, emails and instant messages to detect “resentment toward government,” alerting authorities to potential “terrorists” who are then placed under surveillance.

The technology was demonstrated to law enforcement officials, mental health professionals, and military representatives at a recent International First Responder-Military Symposium held at Hilbert College.

“A Swiss professor working with a Massachusetts Institute of Technology scientist who heads the Mind Machine Project there outlined how this program operates through computerized scanning of phone calls and electronic messages sent through e-mail and social networking mechanisms,” reports the Buffalo News.

The system works by detecting “resentment in conversations through measurements in decibels and other voice biometrics,” more specifically the emotional spikes that characterize “hatred and deep resentment toward government.”

“As for written transmissions scrutinized by the computer program, it can detect the same patterns of fixation on specified subjects,” states the report.

Once an individual has been identified as harboring “resentment toward government,” the information can be “passed along to authorities so surveillance can begin.”

Besides law enforcement applications, the program is also designed to aid mental health professionals to help “war veterans” become emotionally stable, chillingly implying that distrust or hatred of government, which was hailed by the founding fathers as a vital virtue, is now considered a mental illness.

Of course, this technology completely violates the 4th amendment, but by introducing it as a tool to fight terrorism, authorities hope to skirt around the issue – the problem being that, as we have exhaustively documented, the federal government now sees any political activity whatsoever, be it anti-war protesters on the left, or anti-big government activists on the right, as potential domestic terrorists.

The technology is rationalized by its adherents, who claim that it will help stop terrorists in their tracks, while also being used against ‘troubled veterans and first responders’.

However, the introduction of a program that closely resembles George Orwell’s “facecrime” in 1984 has little to do with fighting extremist Muslims hiding in caves in central Asia, this is all about targeting the American people with total panopticon-style surveillance, while also creating a chilling atmosphere and reminding people that their every conversation, instant message or email is being scanned by super-computers for any sign of extremism or “resentment toward government”.

As we have seen from the MIAC report, the spying case in Pennsylvania, and a host of others in recent years, the federal government defines “terrorist propaganda” as any material critical of the state, therefore any dissent against Big Brother in a phone conversation or an email would automatically trigger the new technology.

This is not only a constitution killer, it represents a hammer blow to free speech. The Internet as a forum of open discourse and free exchange of ideas will be fundamentally damaged if people live in constant fear of being raided by the feds at any minute because they sounded off about the government in an e mail or a posting on a comment board.

Of course, with distrust towards the state touching all time highs, there are millions of Americans who “harbor hatred and deep resentment toward government,” but that doesn’t mean they plan on bombing federal buildings.

The technofascism blog dug up a couple of quotes from George Orwell’s 1984 that almost precisely describe the exact same technology being used in the legendary dystopia about a totalitarian society that constantly hounds, harasses, and surreptitiously spies on its citizens.

Indeed, the establishment media has intensified its dissemination of talking points that attempt to categorize distrust of authority as a mental disorder.

Although it survives under a number of different names with private sector funding, Total Information Awareness was mothballed by Congress in 2003 after widespread criticism that it would lead to the implementation of a “mass surveillance system”. Facecrime goes a step further, it not only creates a mass surveillance system of all our communications, it also corrodes and corrupts people’s confidence in being able to exercise their first amendment right to express “hatred and resentment toward government,” without being harassed and targeted as domestic terrorists.

Facecrime technology is illegal, immoral, anti-American and something that needs to be ditched permanently if the United States and indeed any free country is to heed George Orwell’s warning and resist the descent into totalitarianism.
