Hi my name is Mike. I am really new to day trading but studied economics at Rollins College in Winter Park Florida. I am very fond of two of my old professors the first and most notable Dr. Mark Skousen. He is an old CIA analyst and taught Economics at Rollins for many years before being offered a position at Columbia University. You can catch him on CSPAN or CNN or MSN Money the man has made quite a name for himself. He has his own web site markskousen.com and has wrote many notable books. I started investing in the beginning of this year and have really lost my the sleeves on my shirt. I thought I would make it all back in the long haul and didn't realize that the day I started investing was the beginning of the bear market. I have wised up a little bit and since liquidated and am trying to make small profits on day trading. My other favorite professor was Dr. Charlie Rock (liberal) he is the opposite of Dr. Skousen (capitalist) and taught me a lot about regulation and mans desire to over consume the most notable lecture was about Media companies and how General Powell's son Michael was elected chairman to the FCC. Soon after Michael Powell changed the rules about how much one media company could own of the total media market share I think he changed it from 32% to 37%. In layman's words he think it is ok if 3 companies control all of the media. I am all for laissez-faire (hands off) economics however I think it is important to subsidize companies such as PBS and small local networks. In my opinion the major 4 networks already report the same news wouldn't if be wonderful if we had more media choices. Why should 3 companies own 90% of public tv and radio frequencies? I am looking for some tenured high risk investors to share ideas with. Thanks Again. Mike Greenwood
