From May 2nd, I will maintain this PT.

If you put a trailer on it, maybe consider putting a sell in at 10.50 because I expect some headwinds to form if it moves their quickly.  Longs who were underwater for a while will look to bank some profits once the short cover train slows down a bit.

Consider it done... :-)             Thats would be an amazing 50% plus gain from its near low of 7.00.  Too bad I never added in the 7.0 range.

Is next wednsday whipsaw wednsday?

Well this thing really crapped out. I watched all my profits disappear and then some. If this thing touches 9 again, I am getting out and saying goodbye

I feel your frustration. I am so pissed at myself for not taking at least something off the table while being up after being down soooo  long. To me,in looking at the chart,ENTR appears that it will go down further. If this bounces to 8.80 this week,I may sell everything and look to enter lower.

I doubled up in ENTR at $8.16 this morning ($9.65 first entry).  I'm not doubting the fundamentals of this company and I think the recent sell-off is nothing more than profit taking and completely unwarranted with the direction the company is headed.

Also, this is what I see on the chart (note price is already moving as a type, we're almost green today now):

ENTR May 16th 2011.png

Last two times it dropped really hard out the gate, it hit historic support and the longs came back in, or the shorts covered rapidly.  Finished at new highs on higher than ordinary volume.  Yesterday's $8.50 support didn't hold, but the longer uptrend is holding well this morning and buyers are defending it well right now.  Wouldn't be surprised for another close above $8.50 on higher than usual volume today.

Good buy at 8.16. I tried to buy in the 8.10 range and every time I placed the order, the price leaped away from me,so,I gave up. At one point, the RSI on the 1 minute chart was below 5 in the 8.05 range...lol.

No doubt this company is headed for good things. If i do get out of this short term,I surley want and must be in this for the 3rd and 4th quarters of this year.

Man this thing is killing it for me right now. Bought this when it hit that bottom support line. Anyone else in this? Some movement AH on the add to S&P 600 too.

Really lucked out on this one, I bought about 10 minutes before today's close.

I didn't like my last experience with ENTR, it was way way too much work to manage the position when I stuck around too long. This time the plan is to wait for that insane 35% short float to start covering, last go round the covering was easy to spot. Getting in an oversized position near the start of a covering rally should net some quick and easy returns, cutting down to a half position for a swing if it looks to keep the momentum going. Plus, it still is on the wrong side of too many daily MAs. It will be interesting to see if this index addition will move up the price to challenge the 100 MA tomorrow.

Yeah I'm still in this as well, it's had a nice week despite the DOW being down lately.  I think my original buy was $9.60  then I doubled up at $8.16 on 5/25.  I'm in the buy and hold mentality here, not looking for a quick flip.

I am still holding long and strong, although its a bit painful at times. The 3rd and 4th quarters should be much better for ENTR. Time will tell.

Today I sold three quarters of my position for a small gain. The last two times ENTR hit an RSI in the mid to upper sixties,I held only to lose my gains.I did not want to chance that again. I will actually be watching this as a potential short sometime soon. Ithink ENTR will have one final selloff before taking off again.

The company is profitable with growing revenues and there are significant growth opportunities in their market. The stock is attractive from the fundamentals perspective, but what is making Entropic even more interesting is the massive short position in the stock. According to Yahoo Finance, 30 million shares are currently shorted: More than a third of the float. When I see that kind of short position in a company that has growing revenues, is profitable, and is in a market with great growth opportunities: one thing comes to mind – A SHORT SQUEEZE.

The short squeeze on Entropic will happen by the end of July, in my view.
Entropic has just been added to the S&P Smallcap 600 and the shorts are thinking it might be a good time to close out their short positions.

Facts About the Company:

1. The CFO stated that there is enough organic business to produce a 400% increase in revenues over the next few years.

2. The CFO also stated that ENTR expects to achieve scale, which he described as 500 mil to 1 billion in revenues.

3. Moca 2 has no competition.

4. Operating Margin Model is gaining scale: plenty of growth to maintain high growth
operation margin: Example; Up 600% last year:

5. No seasonal softness in the second half.

I am out 100%. Sold remaining shares at 9.30. Markets are getting toppy and would not be surprised to see ENTR along with the overall markets selloff.

I agree. Sold last week right below 9.00. Didn't wanna see that huge gain from the recent run go away.

Distance,do you plan on getting back into this at some point?

Entr has been in a steep uptrend since the 20th of June.I do not feel that it will keep climbing like that for long. I just put a limit order to short at 9.50. Markets look like they will open lower today,so,my order may not trigger. We shall see.

I don't plan on getting back in it, but I will watch it. I don't trust it to get past the resistance here. Plus I don't want to push my luck trading it again after I caught that nice run up in the last couple weeks tongue.gif
