Creationists fail in bid to offer 'science' degrees - Page 3

evolutionists beleive a big big bang in space set in motion all life as we know it...... wow! maybe I can throw a stick of dynomite into a junk yard and come out with a boeing 747......oh, and give it a few million years and I bet we will have some kind of living creature.
That's the same odds of life origionating from an explosion......that is some hyper inflatd faith, to beleive that.....evolution is a religious belief because when you have such hyper faith in such a frail hypothesis, it's a blind following of fools, who's heart and motive is really, just the self will of not wanting to retain the knowledge of God, so they made up this fairy tale for grown ups called evolution.

A religious group has had its application to offer Master of Science degrees rejected by Texas authorities.

The Institute for Creation Research — which backs a literal interpretation of the Bible, including the creation of Earth in six days — was seeking a certificate to grant online degrees in science education in Texas (see Nature 451, 1030; 2008). But the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board voted unanimously last week not to grant the institute's request, following the recommendation of Raymund Paredes, the state's commissioner of higher education.

“Religious belief is not science,” Paredes said in his recommendation. “Science and religious belief are surely reconcilable, but they are not the same thing.”

The institute has 45 days to appeal or 180 days to reapply.
So why can they offer Bachelor of Science degrees but not Masters?

not only a book, but the creation all around you.....it all has design..... it screems a designer. We also have alot of history, archaelogical evidense, testimony of thousands of people healed in the name of Jesus, the dead seas scrolls and the prophecies of Jesus 1st coming there in, discovered in 1954, but dating around 200-100 bc,
all one has to do is type in Jesus healing on youtube to see with their own eyes on a search, to see there is alot more than just a book.
SO Baggi, your statement was not thought out much and I would admonish you to post more carefully.

weatherbill you have to realize people are atheists and people are religious for a reason, i've took some time to think and look up the history of the conflicting view

yeah stuff does not just appear, properties of matter
but my stance is that religion has been around very very early and there is no concrete proof still, thats why people argue and fight on who is right and who is wrong.

even if their 'religion' does not promote it

still being non religious does not mean you have to believe in Darwinism.

Do you have proof that there isn't a Santa Claus? The burden of proof lies with the one claiming the irrational. We may not know everything, but we've learned enough to understand that bushes don't burn forever, you can't fit 2+ instances of every animal species on the entire planet on a wooden boat. People don't get eaten by whales and emerge from the whale's digestive system 3 days later to tell about it. Virgins don't become pregnant, and people don't re-animate after they're dead...there's no end to the bible's ridiculousness. There's no need to disprove it... it's self-disproving.

yes now i am-- not in a God or greater being, but something...

"Matter can neither be made or destroyed"

Before i was atheist, read a book and wondered

very enlightening, i find talking about religion in a higher sense rather pleasing and motivating.
