Housing Index will be announced tomorrow

Hi all,


The Housing Index will be announced tomorrow at 1:00pm eastern. I am a very new Investor but I know the terrible shape our housing market is in. Which leads me to believe that we may start off in the market ok tomorrow but end on a sour note (even though most of the world knows what shape our housing market is in). Last announcement was on 1/16/08 anybody know if we closed up or down?

S&P was down almost.50% The damage came the next day when the S&P fell almost 3%

Nobody expects a good number housing, so unless it is much worse than the poor expectation, it will have little of no effect. There was a lot of other stuff going on in the credit markets last month. I kind of expect it to be better than expected since Nov-Dec were incredibly slow and January saw a bit of an uptick, but still far below where it was a couple years ago.
