S - Sprint Nextel - Page 53

Looks like the gains were piled on there a bit at the end of the day, still holding on to a little bit in AHT

What do you guys think a good buying price would be for Sprint?

Are you wanting to trade it shot term? or you going long term?

If long term I say anything in the 2 dollars. I would watch it this week and see if it gets a drop, but I think in a few months after they produce some numbers of sales I am betting we see a profit with the iphone sales and the unlimited data that is available with it.

But that is just me.

This could get ugly for Sprint if AT&T gets TMobile, nice to be on the sidelines right now :)

Meh I do not think it will hurt S to much, Sprint has a lot of nice stuff coming out soon. Everytime they dip down around 2.50 I buy more. I actually think ATT taking over T mobile will hurt them because several people hate ATT and love their T Mobile, and since ATT will most likely ruin the whole T mobile bis. I will hold on, though many here are not long term people lately I have became one since my work has gotten so busy. So I have a few $s holding on to this and when it hits around $5 I will be gettign rid of it and taken a nice vacation hahaha

Have toa dd to my edit... just in case none of this makes sense I have been drinking heavily tonight. lol

If ATT takes over T-Mobile, Sprint will be affected a little. But then again just buy some shares in T and watch it go up.

If it happens, Sprint will go bankrupt sooner or later.

I own a lil S down here and the main thing that scares me is their 4g decision. ATT buying T-Mobile is fairly meaningless to Sprint IMO. It's not like Sprint customers will suddenly want to leave and move to ATT so it should be a non issue as far as subscribers. If anything it would make Sprint the cheaper stock to own in cellular which is an industry not likely to be going anywhere, even in times of recession.

My 4g concern though is why on earth would you own 54% of a 4g network and not just buy the other 46% out instead of building a 4g network from the ground up? Anybody know or hear of Sprints thinking on this? Seems rather moronic to me because infrastructure like that isn't going to be cheap. Surely cheaper to acquire Clearwire instead of taking your 54% stake AND spending out of pocket for a new network.

I have wonderedd the same thing, also, why can't sprint dump their clearwire shares and pay off debt with it?

Because they are doing a project that will change networking in the L4g/LTE area. I can only say so much, but I am actually getting ready to start working on this project after I get done down here in New Mexico.

ATT and T-mobiles stuff will not do jack to Sprint and Verizon, and Sprint will not be going bankrupt anytime soon. If anything the ATT and T-mobile thing will make some customers leave, I know several people that are leaving because they do not like ATT, so I am holding on to all my S stocks, I even bought more when it hit 2.49 again the other day and this last week it started heading towards 3 dollar mark again, so hopefully it will keep going green.

Ignore

wow. I had no idea that this program was carried out through Sprint... At least the government has one thing going to promote competition within the telecommunications industry.

I have my eyes on this one as well. I am waiting to buy this at 2.10 if possible. We will see.

took a small position at 2.25 - hopefully we'll see a bit of a breakout as this range tightens up over the next couple days

It's getting really tight now...

Wonder when that 1st payment to AAPL comes due?.....

With apple posting record numbers today I can see Sprints addition of the Iphone help beat the streets Q4 estimates. I see a drive anyways towards $3 by the Q4 earnings date.

I thought the same way that's why I bought shares of S today and I am hoping to add more if it drops more.
