It is normal IMO, first leg up breaks 4.50's second leg up breaks 4.70's third leg up goes over 4.80 and has everyone convinced it will push through 5.00 which is where I always lost money in the past.

Got out of calls today with some decent profits watching for the break below 4.30 for a new position.

Sprint - you are really losing me buddy! I've liked S for a while now, and have traded in and out with lots of success although most trades have not been for huge gains. But it just doesn't feel like a great trader right now. I think my plan is going to have to be this: wake me up when it breaks the upper trendline of this falling price channel on the weekly (also, note darker line which is support and it could be interesting to see how price reacts if that is broken while S is still in the channel. So long as the weekly 20 and 50 MAs are doing a veritable "DNA helix dance" I'm not interested. Maybe one more bounce in the 4.05-4.15 area off the faint trendline and it can bust up through 4.50 and align the 20 and 50 bullishly for a long period of time (1-2 years)? That's what I want from S, not this forever chop.

S&P's 12 - month target price is $6. doesnt look like most of you think its this even worth getting into?

I got back in this one yesterday. Already gone up about 5% for me. Just not sure when to sell. Think its worth holding onto?

Is this moving on merger talks?

 

It's been bucking the market trend lately and heading up. Now over $5.00 which is a good break out from it's earlier movement.

 

Might actually see that $6.00.

almost down to $4..... i might pull the trigger on if it hits..... whats everone else thinking on this?

That sucks to wake up in the morning and see that much red.

 

Sprint down on the AT&T - T-mobile bid, the thinking being that Sprint gets a large chunk of business from pissed of T-Mobile users, but if T-Mobile now gets the AT&T network backing them, less will move to Sprint.

 

 

Actually, I am patiently waiting for my ATT contract to end so that I can move to Sprint...I hate ATT...so many dropped calls,   so many "Network busy" messages. Don't see that adding T-mobile will entice me to stay.

 

My current Sprint play is in at $4.24 today and hopefully out at $4.59 tomorrow. On the chart, the current resistance trend was heading towards ~$4.53ish. Maybe we can beat that by just a little bit. The drop today was a bit hasty I think, but climbing back to my target tomorrow may be hard.

Close call, HOD $4.56 just 3 pennies off. I was out at $4.55 for a 3.76% profit after commissions.

It was overdone yesterday, who ever wanted out could have done so today, now we get to see if there are any sellers left in it.

Thanks, and I do think that more selling tomorrow is going to happen. The weekly trend was heading south before this ATT/T Mobile news and it looks like it may continue. Also the shorts are still going to try and beat it up some more this week. 

Going to $4.28ish then bouncing today? Another 30 cent play setting up

Dang, I would have taken a fill at $4.30 but doesn't look like we will get that low today.

Surprised there has not been more discussion on Sprint.  Up to $5.60 in pre-market today after recently beating earnings estimates.

 

Perhaps they'll be turning the corner and are still the only ones willing to offer unlimited data plans while T & V are jacking prices right and left...

wow, this stock dropped, im watching it right now. if the iphone is realesed to sprint i think it will really help them.

I'm going to be selling some puts on S very shortly. The markets volatility spike will help me on the premiums end.

Long term...considering they have cash and are a viable network I'd say worst case they get bought out at much higher than the going price. JMHO

Sprint is suppose to be getting the Iphone 5 soon. I would think that would bring the stock a bit higher? Am I wrong?
