E*Trade options trading

Anyone have an E*trade account that does some options trading? After completing my options trading 101 course, I tried to pick up a few contracts and all day it has stated that "quotes are not available at this time"

Give me the details. I've been doing it all day...
You using ET Pro?
Did it show the 2 green bars in the bottom left? Did you try closing/reopening?
How'd you try to pickup the contracts?

Oh, that may be it, I am not using ET Pro...at least I don't think that I am...maybe I should take a ET 101 course as well.
I tried picking the contracts up via 'basic' buying at open...

Well I'm asking just so I know what UI you're in. You said 'basic', you mean markettrader? or the webpage?

Are you on the website where you can go back, forward, refresh etc. or are you using one of their programs like markettrader or PET Pro that runs off of your computer but connects to the web behind the scenes?

I m just using the site and my brokerage account...I m in need of an upgrade.

OK, to transact the option trade go to "Transfer Money".
Transfer your money from your brokerage account into my account, PM me for account number.
I'll send you a mail with paper options.

But really, go to:
Trading & Portfolios > Trade > Options > Select Buy Open or Sell Open (buying calls/puts vs shorting calls/puts), # of contracts, Symbol of Option chain, etc. and hit Preview Order.
Or an easier way...
Bring the stock up via quote > Options Chains Tab > Click on "Trade" or the bid/ask of the chain you want to sell. Obviously, changing the month to the appropriate month of the contract length you want.

Hope you have paper traded already....
