What Will You Say When You Stand Before God Someday?

What if the Bible is all true?
What if Jesus really was raised from the dead, like the Bible says and history says and hundreds of millions believe it?
Will you say?
What could you do?
Do you think that you will be able to save yourself?
What if its true that God is perfect and holy and just and sent His only Son Jesus to take your place and you CHOOSE to reject His offer?

What excuses will you have or try to think of?
What about all those times God sent people into your lives like me and others that tried to talk to you about Jesus and you just kept blowing us off?
Well then , He will have to let you stand own your own merits and based on your own works, which is saying something like this " God, i was a pretty good person, i didn't kill anyone, etc. "

Know whats thats called? Religion
not Salvation. Thats called works. All religions are trying to get to God, but only Christianity was God coming to man through Jesus Christ. My , my, how this country has changed so much from the principles it was founded on.

Salvation comes only ONE way and that is through Jesus and Jesus alone.

For those out there that want to know the truth. It can and will be found if you are SERIOUS about finding it.

it is GOOD NEWS! God is not mad at you!
The price was paid for your and my sins over 2,000 years ago on the cross. It was God manifested in human form to take our place and go to hell that we wouldnt have to.
Please accept God's plan and God's way before it is to late. It must be done before you die.
Many of you just need to listen to that inner voice that is telling you not to put this off, but to accept Jesus into your heart and to get water baptized. When you step out in faith and do this, then God will reveal Himself to you and come inside you and you will see a change.
Repent ( change your thinking) and be saved!

It will be the greatest decision you ever made!

It's so simple a child can understand.
God's already done all the work!
You accept Jesus as Lord, you accept God.
You reject Jesus, you reject God.
Its a choice.

What will I say? I hope I won't have to say anything as God is supposed to be all knowing.

If he didn't know already, I'd tell him I tried to be the best person I could be.

Yes, he already knows all about you simon and where your at. Now,

Take a look at your statement simon.
I'd tell him I tried to be the best person I could be.

You stated you would tell Him you tried to be the best you could be. Those are good intentions simon, but what would you say if He is a holy, just God that demands payment for every little thing we have done that is wrong? What if He did say that " the wages of sin are death" and "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" and "there is none righteous, not one" If you or me have ever lied, stolen, looked on a woman with lust, etc. then we are considered sinners. Actually we all born with that nature in us to do wrong.

See so many people don't really grasp the simple true message of the gospel ( good news). See most of us know that we have messed up and will admit to have done wrong things throughtout our lives. Our self effort will only get us so far. What the Bible was put here for is to show us what God is like and His standard. Well , His standard is perfection, and the problem is that we have not been able obtain that standard of perfection that God requires. God knew that and had a plan.

He sent His ONLY Son Jesus , who would live a sinnless life so that He would be the perfect sacrifice for all mankind. His only Son would satisfy and take all of mans judgement upon Himself. His Son would die a perfect sinnless man, go to hell and take mans place and then rise from the dead to prove He was the Son of God. Watch the passion. If you've seen it, watch it again. Listen to the words Jesus spoke upon the cross. Did you know God the Father had to turn His back on Jesus and totally reject His only son? Why would He do that? For you and me and all of us simon, thats why. The Father left His only son in hell until the demands for justice was met. Then He brought Jesus up from the dead and He is alive forever!
Thats the good news simon!
Jesus took our place!
He took our sins!
God is not angry or mad at us!
When we simply believe in what God has done, then we act on that belief and ask Jesus to come into our heart and we invite Him into our lives. It all happens with a simple prayer ( speaking out loud to him) giving Him permission to come in and help us.
That is what is call humility. This is the opposite of pride, which says, " i can do it my own way" .

If we could do it on our own, then God messed up and make the biggest mistake. That would make Him a liar, because that would go against His word. Either the Bible is God's word or it isn't. The Bible has proved itself to hundreds of millions to be true because they really wanted to know the truth. The truth is all there, so we have no excuse, since we have heard the truth.

I really encourage everyone here to watch the movie The Passion and just ask God to reveal Himself to you what is for real and what really happened.

That thought always runs in my mind. Sad to say, I will be the first to to say have mercy upon me Lord. Cause you have shown me the truth, the way, and the Christ-like life. I need so bad to repent! I know in my heart God has been too good to me and that I truly deserve nothing but the pits of hill. Yes, God is holy God that can't stand the slightest sin! Too many times I have failed him.

I have GOOD NEWS for you, my brother - you have nothing to worry about! Go and live your life free from shame and fear. There is no Hell, no judgemental God, and no Santa Claus for that matter.

Missionman, I believe your intentions are good and I have no ill will towards you personally, but I also believe you are perpetuating a harmful lie. It's couched in a lot of Jesus-love, but at the end of the day, the message is "believe what I believe or suffer for all eternity." This certainly doesn't seem consistent with Jesus' message, and what's more, it strikes me as more of a threat than a convincing argument or invitation.

I understand that you see yourself as a messenger of God. Leaving aside the asinine argument that "if I'm wrong, I'll burn for all eternity", is there any way you can convince me that you have an inside line to the Divine and are not simply a fantasist?

I would say sorry that mankind cannot break away from his dogmatic belief in mythology. And sorry for the historical miss use of his name to govern people.

Missionsman,

So I'm supposed to accept Jesus Christ as my savior and believe in your God so that when I'm judged, I won't go to hell? Sounds to me like you're trying to intimidate folks into becoming Christians.

I thought the message was that people are supposed to find Jesus and accept him, etc, etc, because they truly believe the teachings in the Bible. Accepting Jesus as my personal savior to avoid hell is rather hypocritical, don't you think?

Religions are all about intimidation and coercion. Basically they say, "Join our church, follow our teachings and ways, for if you don't, you'll burn in hell." In fact, a large part of the history of the world has been religions warring against each other - "KILL THE INFIDELS" - and forcing people to adhere to whichever religion is in power at the time. It hasn't changed over the eons. If a particular religion - pick one - had the power today - we'd all be goose-stepping to its church on Sunday mornings with no choice in the matter.

I have no objections - you can worship your choice of religions, but why the heck do all religions want to convert everybody else to their way of thinking? Hey, do your thing, worship your God, but leave me alone. I have a brain. I can decide for myself.

Instead, religions harass and intimidate the heck out of people who don't believe as they do. That's what I object to, religions trying to coerce others into joining them. I truly believe if a particular religion today, yours for example, had the power to do so, I'd have no choice in the matter. I'd be forced to accept your religion on penalty of death.

Rather than offer salvation as you say, religions scare me.

If I died and stood before God...I would spend a good amount of time yelling at it for being so evil...give it the finger and tell it to go to hell.

Scotchfaster,

Per the paragraph highlighted in red in your quote below, I agree exactly with you. Missionsman's post came across as a threat, at least to me. Given the power and authority to do so, his church and others would make good on their threats. That's what's disturbing to me.

What gets me is the large number of otherwise sensible people I know that still believe in this nonsense...people that make rational decisions, are intelligent, and introspective, and still believe in silly impossible superstitions because they were told it was truth by people they trusted...never realizing the people who convinced them of the lie were convinced by other people who were convinced by other people...etc. At some point someone has to break the cycle of lies and think for themselves....IT'S NOT REAL!!! just think about it for a second...don't reflect and meditate on what you've been taught, step outside your impressionable little box and apply some of those critical thinking skills you've no doubt developed by this point in your life...apply some reasoning to the things that you've been told...you'll see what I'm talking about....and you'll probably feel like a jackass for trying so hard to coerce mentally liberated people into believing in nonsense.

My ex wife has my 2 and 3 year old daughters going to sunday school and church now. I'm trying to decide how to make this stop. I don't want my children browbeaten and frightened into believing in lies...plain and simple. She claims it's just a fun social thing for the kids to do, and that they're not being brainwashed and indoctrinated, but I don't buy it. I don't want my kids to grow up repressed, nor do I want them wasting their precious time participating in a control device that's gotten out of hand. People think about this...even those of you who claim to realize that this is all total garbage... many of you still don't see anything wrong with your children attending church. Lies are wrong...plain and simple, don't help brainwashed people lie to your kids.

you are correct in thinking its not just a social thing.they will slowly be converted - easily done at this tender age, which is when the church likes to get them.
The church can and has helped people as well, even though it is all a hoax.so i dont think its all bad

What i would do is find another social activity your kids can do so you can propose that to the ex. maybe you can tell her its just a trial to see what the kids enjoy most.. dont wait too long

Apparently, you guys have never really studied the life of Jesus and what sets Him apart from all the other teachers.
he lived as an example of What God is like. He has influenced the world more than anyone else.
The message He has is GOOD NEWS! Not bad!
He already paid the price for our sins.
Would you reject so great a love?
For those you you who feel uneasy, thats called conviction. That is the Spirit of God speaking to you.

My motives are pure with no harm to all here.

When you see and understand the love than was given to the world through the cross, you will see the greatest love story of all time.

God's love for all His creation. I am simply following Jesus command to go share the gospel to the whole world.

Christianity neither is, nor ever was a part of the common law.
