They'll make some cash on Call of Duty this winter, but other than that, what? Blizzard is still a cashcow with WoW, but SC2 didn't sell nearly as well as I was hoping, and Blizzard takes so long at R&D. I think this stock is pretty stagnate.

ATVI's repurchase program and dividend are both red-flags to me. Starting that dividend program cost ATVI around $300 million. So apparently they have no compelling new games that they could spend that money on, to give it out as a dividend.

The recent price move has gotten my attention here. I am watching that 10.50 line.

I really dont see the logic in this stock going down now, the potential is massive with both Black ops and Cataclysm coming out in October and November.

I think that specially Black Ops is going to shatter all previous records.

Exactly why I stopped trading this.. I guess they need a pipeline of at least 10 MEGA hits for this stock to be successful.

Starcraft 2 initial sales were good, but didn't meet the expectations of the very optimist.

Anyhow, at $10.80 right now. I think it's a pretty safe stock. Current assets are at $12+ billion and market cap is only around $13 billion. I think it's risk is as low as most bluechip stocks but with a slightly greater potential for upside.

Looks to me like your trying to convince yourself its a good stock. With all the problems their having with SC2 i don't think sales will exactly be going bonkers.
This compagny has not delivered very good returns look at the 1 year chart. it speaks for itself.

You're underestimating the name of Call of Duty. I own MW2, and WILL be purchasing Black Ops when it comes out, and so will millions of other people. If you look at the one year chart, the summer downturn correlates with the timing of the "gaming crisis" where gaming sales were slowing down. I can assure you that sales slowed down because there were many HUGE titles that people were waiting for. Black Ops is one of those huge titles.

I don't know if Black Ops will beat expectations (which are set high), but IMO, this stock will rebound this winter. And I'll be right there with some calls.

Well Said, Activision knows there shit with Call of Duty! and with the news of nazi zombies being back and better than ever that will get tons of people to buy it for that alone

Anyone have an opinion what Q3 results we will see on Thursday? I'm sure they made money but I'm worried about this happening again...

"SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Shares of Activision Blizzard fell more than 5% Friday morning, after the videogame publisher reported weaker-than-expected adjusted sales. Activision on Thursday posted a 12% quaterly profit gain. But its adjusted revenue of $683 million fell short of Wall Street estimates. "

Do you think the cod release next week makes it a good buy?
