CFRI - Conforce International Inc - Page 365

In most cases it would be inappropriate for them to be manufacturing too.  That would create a channel conflict where they may start competing with existing customers and once that happens they start to lose the customer base they have developed.  The trust would be gone.

Box builders’ profits rise

Despite fluctuating demand patterns throughout the year, the world’s two biggest box builders, China International Marine Containers (CIMC) and Singamas Container Holdings, have reported record results for 2011.

CIMC’s container business generated a sales income of RMB35.04B (US$5.56B) in 2011, up 38.26% over the previous year, with a net profit of RMB3.629B (US$575.8M), up 19.42%. The production and sales volumes and operating revenues of the dry cargo container and reefer container business segments hit a record high, while sales incomes and net profits generated in the special purpose container, modular buildings and wood flooring business segments recorded significant year-on-year growth....

It sure would be nice to get in on the action.

Thanks Sunarf.  At least we know that they can afford the flooring.  All we need is for them to actually decide to buy some, for Conforce to be able to make it and for the share price to start climbing again.

It's great to have a bit good news for a change.  Happy memorial day weekend.  We had our holiday last weekend in Canada.

Vanguard showed a van with a fiberglass-reinforced urethane floor, said to be impervious to moisture and contaminants. It consists of 12-inch-wide pultrusions that can directly replace wood planks. In the 53-foot trailer displayed, it weighs about 400 pounds less than a wood floor, a Vanguard rep said. VanFloor.jpgThe product is called Eko-Flor, from Conforce International, which is working with Beyer Material Science to market it against oak laminates and tropical hardwoods traditionally used in trailer and container flooring.

Vanguard is finally talking about Eko-Flor!

Good one CHC.   Maybe this company of ours is still alive.   At least somebody is writing about them again.

This company is really impressing a lot of people.  So much so, the pps is now $.05...great.  I am holding a bag of crap.

CFRI.OB is no longer valid. It has changed to CFRI.

Is this an important change ??

News? not sure this is news. don't see anything new about it.

There's a competitors product referenced on the same page.

It seems like it might be smart to double down on this stock.  It might be a bag of crap right now, but the share prices are so cheap what's a few more dollars that could triple tomorrow and then tank to nothing the next day?

Haha, I dont think anyone knows what to expect right now. I guess I will just sit and wait..... hmm.gif

I guess it really depends if you trust management at this juncture.  I don't enough to think I should buy more shares.  I'm just holding for the endgame, whatever that is.

The point is that Vanguard is promoting the product now.  They had half of the $400K order filled, according to Marino, and we were not seeing any activity with Vanguard.  Vanguard wouldn't waste the time and expense at a trade show unless they were actually planning on selling the product or at least assessing the interest levels.  Trade shows raise awareness, showcase new products and are used to book orders.

It's news that Vanguard is promoting the product, not the trade show or the trailer.  The Havco oak laminate seems to be doing quite well, and Eko-Flor offers advantages over the Havco flooring.  I'd love to see a detailed side by side comparison of the two for everything, including cost, installation cost, repair costs, etc.

Annual report filing

For the people that have asked about the annual and quarterly reports,  Conforce filed the annual report on the 29th of June last year.  The year before that they filed an NT 10-K notice of late filing on the 30th of June and then filed the annual report on the 12th July.

We still have up to a month to wait for the results.

The Edgar database is available here:-

Sunarf has all of this covered in the first three posts on this thread, but for those asking, I hope this helps.  I would encourage everyone using this thread to look at the first page.  Sunarf has a lot of good information there, including links, pictures and general information about Conforce.  He does a good job of helping us.  Thanks sunarf!
