And it is just being helped today, which I don't mind, but the long term investors need it to break 05

Help with short and MM stuff

How do you track who is short? what does MM stand for and this will help me understand when a stock is going to go up. Keeping my 560,000 share for now and wish my money would have cleared yesterday. Good show last night. FineMan

You own $25k of a penny stock and you don't know the basics like what a MM is? I hope that was a typo and you own 56,000 shares.

MM is a Market Maker. For a complete definition check out investopedia.com.

And you're looking to buy more?!!!!! For God's sake man, be careful. Look at 100 other penny stocks that have large runs and at least 99 of them will have lost almost all of their gains if not more. If SPNG breaks .049-.05, I do think this could see a nice pop. If you really have that many shares, please sell into the strength. Don't listen to the kool aid drinkers and the long term hold talks. Penny stocks are meant to be flipped, not invested in.

You're most likely trying to buy with a market order. Always buy/sell penny stocks with a limit order. If you want in quickly, set your limit order in at or slightly above the current ask. If you want to sell quickly, set it at or slightly lower than the bid. Otherwise set your limit order to whatever you want and hope/wait for it to fill.

Simon is 100% right. Dont spend $25,000 into any penny stock if you dont know the basics. NOt even $2,000. I personally have 600,000 shares in this, but it does not mean that you should as well. I have been trading 12+ years.

Just be careful in any stock especially OB and PK's

And yes, Simon is also right that if this thing break .05 and i hope it will no later then next week (will make me very happy)

I have been doing this for awhile and do buy at limit but this advice is good too as I usually put the current price only. Haven't learned some of the definitions and still trying figure out shorts, options etc. Buying only companies with product (no more speculative ones but did make and lose big money on those) and now I look at income statements (DD) and moving towards 0 debt. More interested in a little risk on a product I like. I like to stay on it a little longer and then sell though I think should be selling high and rebuying the same one low to accumulate shares. I think this stock may have a big potential. Thinks for the MM def and will look up. Don't have time to do the Day Trader thing yet. Any other tools you use that could be helpful?

I have been trading for about 5 years and stayed with Apple originally and went from 33 to 88 and sold the first time. Bought again and chased to 140. Could have purchased at 100 in jan and look now 180. So long term works but looking for bigger wins quicker with these penny stocks. Don't think I wil sell this one or maybe 1/2 until the June quarter hits and the may rebuy it again when it goes down. With then new products I think this may go up to .15 by the end of the year. But It may go down to 1.8 again. Bought at 2.8 with most of the money when the pumps came out.

I like how this board is turning on helping each other out and advising each other and giving little tips. That's how true investing should be. Just FYI, 2 mm's left at .046 and over 700,000 shares just hit the ask
