Aktieselskabet Dampskibsselskabet Torm (TORM) is engaged primarily in the ownership and operation of product tankers and bulk carriers. The Company's product tankers carry refined products, such as naphtha, gasoline, gas oil, jet fuel and diesel oil. Its dry bulk vessels carry commodities, such as coal, iron ore and grain. TORM provides transportation services by utilizing a fleet of vessels that it owns, charters in on short and long term time charters, or manage as the manager of a pool or through contracts with third-party owners. The Company charters in tankers and bulk vessels as are needed by the pools it manages. As of December 31, 2006, the Company's fleet of owned vessels consisted of 31 product tankers and five dry bulk carriers. The total tonnage of those vessels is approximately 2,348,145 deadweight ton. In addition, the Company chartered six product tankers and seven drybulk carriers and managed approximately 46 vessels for third-party owners and charterers.

shipping is hot-at .77--going for more today before the run-they have 1.1 billion revenue and 165 vessels-low float

TRMD-great news just out-COPENHAGEN, Denmark, Feb. 17, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TORM and the Company's bank group have extended the deferral of instalments and covenant standstill announced on 17 January 2012. The agreement is after the extension valid until 1 March 2012 where TORM also will publish the 2011 annual report.

"I am satisfied to have agreed a new extension with the bank group. The negotiations continue towards a comprehensive financing solution," says CFO Roland M. Andersen.

read the press-looks like new bank agreement is on the way--very large shipper with 1.3 billion revenue-52 week high over 7.00--will fly with this low float on new agreement
