OK starting over. This time im doing somthing im accually great at. Big Boards!

Started with $364.50

Got 11 shares of WX

So accually 370$ cuz of 7$ commisions

Lets see how far I get!

WX shares worth
367$ now
im up with stock

current account value- $367 Stared with $370 down cuz of commisions

You should add, as a Disclaimer, that you failed, miserably, 4 times with pennies. Just in case someone has not been up to do date with the thread.

GL with the big boards though.

Those really should teach you some Patience!

Thanks for reminding me I lost my money.

These big stocks will do better, but dont worry if i make enough ill throw some money into some pennies here and there. Have 1055 shares of swvc, not worth much but its still something.

What are you basing your buys on? Specific chart setups? Bottom plays? Breakouts? News plays?

Hrmmmmmm........lets see


1.) Charts (Breckout patterns, cup handle, flat base breakout ect.)
2.) I check earning and I future earnings of the company
3.) CAN SLIM (investors.com)
4.) I check what bussiness there in, and what sectors are hot right now, China stocks rocking right now.
5.) Check news as well, new products, things that will make them more money.


Thats mosley what I do check.

Congrats on the move to the big boards. The key is you learned about pennies and made the move. Keep focused, stick to your rules and you'll keep getting better. Most of all it seems you've been humbled by the market, and thats key in progressing IMO.

I think you need more than $370 to play big boards. Seldom you can make 30-50% playing over there, and 50% of your $370 is just $555 minus $7 commission every time you make a trade. Sorry, didn't mean to crap you out.

Ideally yes, though you can chip away on lower priced big boards and build the money up. The reality is if you can't do it with small amounts you won't be able to cut it with more money usually.

No doubt though it's harder to have good position sizing and commish will eat into your profit bigtime but it's great practice if nothing else, and best case it could lead to a nice built up amount.

I would suggest you to open an account with Interactive Brokers. They would charge you $1 commission on such a small trades.

$5k minimum though to open with IB.

Choicetrade is decent if you don't mind a crap platform, or pay for their data to quotetracker per month.
