im finding more and more im jumping into pennies for momo and chartplays.. i dont DD anymore on them.. been lied to toooo many times

Hey just wondering, isn't Interactive brokers a per share comission. It looks like 1.00 per 100 shares. But then theres 0.5% of trade value plus exchange, ECN, regulatory and specialist fees, how do you know what those are? I am assuming they are significantly less than what you pay at other brokers. So for example:

2.5 million shares of XYZ trading at .0001 at scottrade = 8.25

2.5 million shares of XYZ trading at .0001 at IB = 1.25 + exchange fees? So if those are less than 7.00, assuming they are closer to 1-2 dollars thats a heck of a lot cheaper.

Man seeing how well you are doing, and with what I have seen going on in the HSM chat this morning (today was my first day getting up for opening bell rofl) I am going to get up everyday.

Just a question though Ace, when you do these trades are you doing them with 100% of your money (or pretty close) or do you break it up in incriments (I know that might be a little bit hard with 500)

My account balance is about 1500 so what I usually do is do trades of about 300, so that I can get the 3 in 5 as well as the day trade.

Mind if I share some Wisdom with you?

The past two weeks subs have been red hot. Lots of money to get made. Part of the experience that comes though trading is recognizing these cycles and understanding how to play them.

One thing that happens in a cycle like this is that people stretch more and more to find those big runners. With GSCR, IVGR, and a couple others having 500% to 1000%+ days, it gets to the point that people think every sub that has a pop is going to do the same, and is when it really takes good trading discipline and patience to avoid making bad decisions.

Patience being the key and chasing can get you hurt. For every IVGR that goes the distance, there are 50 others that buying up 200% is a fairly bad idea.

The key being to remember that every day has big runners, and every day is a chance to get in early. Don't feel like you have to jump in them all, or feel that you have to get in right when you hear about it.

It's easy to get bummed about the ones that you don't buy into when they do have those crazy runs like IVGR did this week, but much more often, we'll take big chunks out of our portfolios chasing.

If you combine you likeing for momo plays, and combine it with a bit of discipline and patients, i think you'll find you still get the gainers, but fewer big hits.

By the way, NXNO looks interesting for next week. Hope it runs for a nice double for you!

He He....well put for an English Guru Spec. Ace don't get overzealous. Buying a 200% gain stock is just foolishness, especially when it hasn't dipped yet////

Hey, I prolly wont be around a whole lot this week, I am at the grandparents house until friday afternoon. Hopefully you have a good rest of the week and a happy fourth. GLTA

Oh yeah and for the Interactive Brokers, I noticed the minimum is 5k, is this strongly inforced? Will they close the account if I have say 1500? Anyone have experience here?
