About The Company

Galway Resources is a well-capitalized company, primarily focused on the exploration of gold and coal Colombia. The core focus of the Company is gold exploration in northeast Colombia, with drill programs occurring at the California and Vetas gold projects. The Company also has the Victorio molybdenum-tungsten project, with excellent infrastructure, in southwestern New Mexico. A positive scoping study was completed by SRK in 2008. The recent surge in tungsten pricing, coupled with a steady molybdenum price, has prompted management to reassess strategic alternatives to advance the Victorio project.

Galway Resources' infill drilling intercepts 210 feet of molybdenum/tungsten at Victorio
ELKO, NV, Apr 16, 2007 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX) -- Galway Resources Ltd. (GWY: TSX-V) is pleased to announce encouraging drilling results from the Victorio molybdenum-tungsten project located in southern New Mexico. The 6-hole 10,000 feet infill drilling program was recently completed with the results of the first two holes provided below. The purpose of the infill drilling program is to upgrade the resource categories from those outlined in the recently published N.I. 43-101 resource estimate done by S.R.K. Consulting (U.S.) Inc. The next step in the advancement of this project is to initiate a Scoping Study.

"I am very pleased with these first results which corroborate the significant thickness, continuity, and grade of the ore body defined by the 165,000 feet (71 holes) of drilling done by Gulf Minerals. They advanced the project to the pre-feasibility level but dropped the project in 1983 due to depressed molybdenum and tungsten pricing. While there is potential to expand the deposit, the defined area of mineralization and implied metal value are among other factors, reasons why this project is our company's flagship property and is a good candidate for low cost bulk underground mining methods," cites Marshall Himes the COO of Galway Resources.

Highlights of the Current Drill Results.

The most noteworthy for the results received thus far and outlined below is the 210 foot thickness of mineralization intersected in GRV-72. Additionally, the grade for this intercept is above the average grades cited in the resource estimate just released. The intervals listed represent true thickness.

More info on the coal projects
Coal in Columbia

coal export market in columbia growing significantly. latin america's largest producer - very high quality reserves with low capital and operating costs, 70 million tons exported in 2007.

Two concessions:

Galca (rail through middle)
Carboluis (San Luis coal basin)

carboluis project - potential to be over 20 million tons of high quality, surface mineable coal - 25% could be metallurgical coal. strategically located close to the caribbean highway, atlantic railway, and proposed carare railway. bituminous A with average BTU over 15,000.

Carboluis is located in the new San Luis coal basin - resource potential estimated at 300 million tons (based on 29 historical drill holes) - galway's land position represents 50% total area. centromin has 2yr old mine in the region and will be doing 600k tons per year.

Galca - potential for new world class coal basin. prodeco will fund 19 drill holes and if looks good, fund the feasability study for 60% earnin. Prodeco would pay $.80/ton up to $80 million for any coal tonnage found to earn in 100%. 77 concessions total 135,000 hectares. petroleum drilling and seismic info indicates significant coal seams in area and goal is to find coal "pushed to surface". nearby rail, river, and road access. Galca is located in southern part of Cesar State (mineral rich and excellent infrastructure)

Hey it is better to see them buying the options and it has'nt any effect on the downward side of the stock if that is what you are talking about. As long as it keeps going North is all I care. It is obvious that there must be much more upside potential if they exercise their options.

Missed out on the buying opportunity at the last drop, definitely regret it.

Insiders purchased yet again close to 90,000 dollars worth of stock today. The average price is about 1.19/share.

Looks like management is very bullish on the stock.
