This sure has made a nice run since mid August. Is anyone thinking about shorting this around 7.50 or so? From Tiptops chart,its very close to overbought and above the upper BB. I also feel the markets are due for a slight pullback in the next week or two. Thoughts?

I have been here but my postings are at a minimum as my plate is overflowing. I have been dabbling in real estate which is sharing the bill with my stock trading. For sometime I have been reducing my portfolio positions and putting the proceeds in LVS and CLWR and it has worked out well. CLWR hit your 7.50 this morning but it was short lived as it came out the gate too strong with no support. Yes the markets may be getting close to the top and unless there is a new catalyst we could see a pull back soon. Careful on the short if you go there as CLWR is in a break out mode.

Up .03 @7.32 and overbought

Lets be realistic...Sprints not going to telegraph its punch, but if and when they make the buyout I will be a happy camper

The uptrend continues as CLWR is at overbought as techs take another dip.

The shorts are in the S/CLWR house today as I am looking for a reload and if the shorts can push CLWR to sub 7, I will be looking at some calls and the same goes for Sprint if they can push it near 4.

First tier @7.27

I am still short from 7.52 and will look to cover in the low 7's. Like Tiptop,I will be looking to buy in the high 6's should we get there.

Tiptop,do you think CLWR will definitely be bought out? If so,when would be your best guess on a time frame?

I also jumped back in today with a starter position at 7.27.

Nothing is definite but I think the chances are stronger now for a buyout as the big holders can not agree on the direction they want Clearwire to go. Sprint at a 54% ownership would be the best bet but I am not sure they would want to tap that much money at this point in time. Time frame? your guess is good as mine. . .

Around 3:15-3:20 today big buy volume came in.
Around that same time this article was leaked that just came out afterhours.

Even though the volume was low today and CLWR was down most of the day from its overbought level there was a flurry of buying near the bell and it closed up .19 @8.01 with a HOD of 8.07. With that, tread carefully if your going to short this overbought level and have a stop in place.

News leak? Maybe Am I the only one still playing this?

I have had a sell in at $8 for ever and was surprised when I got home and saw that it sold.

There was an article on their home router they submitted to the fcc.

Sprint says this is not the time for a buyout but of course they would not telegraph their punch. Buying at this level comes at some risk as profit taking could bring the price back down some. The trading pattern of late has been for a drop early on and then a slight pop later in the day. With that if there is a news leak expect CLWR to come out the gate strong tomorrow. . .

I sold 2/3 of my shares into the close. Still holding 1/3 and will look for a re-entry. I have been shedding a lot of my positions this week raising cash and locking in some nice profits.

CLWR came out like a rocket this morning and profit taking kicked in but not before I took some chips off the table

CLWR on fire this morning as the rocket was re-fired and set a new 52Week high @8.82 for over a 10% pop. This was done on the heels of Sprint execs stepping down from the board. This could be clearing the way for something big as speculations are high.
