Hmmm may play MGM puts tomorrow at open. Q3 loss along with dilution planned could make for an ugly day for them tomorrow. Tip, what do you think, go short MGM or too risky?

I'm curious to see what it does to LVS and the rest of the gaming stocks. I know that MGM's problems are their own, but still - it could pull the entire sector lower.

LVS has me a touch worried at the moment. It lagged behind this afternoon while most rose up, and just barely closed at 39. I'm hoping it doesn't fall back too much, but if it does I may consider getting a touch more.

Well, keep in mind that it has been up for the past few days (BIG) when the markets have been flat/negative. She's just taking a breather, that's all.

Of course we'd all like to see it go to the stars, but I'd welcome a healthy pullback from these levels to add more shares at a lower price.

MGM Resorts International announced that for third quarter of 2010, it expects diluted loss per share (EPS) of approximately $0.72.

and now there doing stock offerings....

humm..iam sure lvs will be negative tomorrow (unless bizzaro world hits..lol)...

yet at the close it went up $.38...usually before earnings theres a huge surge followed by a sell off...i still think lvs will hit $40..before the earnings..and possibly fall down...
mgm doesnt have the macua presences but lvs has negatives from vegas and bethlam...

the positive...is the QE and the fact that lvs will no longer have mgm as compeition anymore..ahahahahh...

it can go 50-50...tomorrow..i bought at the lowest points so no need to sell...

if it drips more ($1-2)..ill and play the pre-earnings surge and sell before hand...and hit the 40

If you can beat the crowd in I would say give it a shot. I knew I smelled a rat in MGM. You have to love how they throw this out there after the bell and when they started pulling back during market hours I am sure the leak was in.

No date set for Q3 earnings yet, eh? I wish that they would hurry up, I'm getting anxious.

Waiting for earnings release is for novices... The "market" tells you, way in advance. If it's up...the earnings when released will be good. If it's down....

Look for earnings release around the end of the month and beginning of November. Previous earnings have been released at that time. Last year it was on 10/29. I would look for an increase in the pps the week before in anticipation of a good report.

I call it indecision. Probably caused by MGM. I don't expect much out of LVS for today.

Creating a new support from time to time isn't bad. Otherwise we just have a building without floors & you can fall very deep.

if i was a short id be nervous. hell, i just went short, but the most this thing drops is a dollar or so before climbing abother 2 or 3. im an idiot for trying to call a top here, but might as well short into market strenght
