IMO, they will bounce up and down until a major storm hits. It has been 2 years since a major hurricane has threatened the U.S. Once one does I think it is pretty safe to assume that there will be a buying frenzy on all of them.
I would think that there would be a ton of buying pressure right now as this is suppose to be an extremely active season. It's one week into the season and we have already had two named storms. That should get people buying imo.

I was hoping for a higher base on all my holdings once the season started. Im a little disappointed. Hopefully we get a storm soon.

Well it is early june and guess what peak season is middle of september,so we have months to go here.So we have to be patient.I for one will not wait until september this year to unload.

PDGE is up a little bit. According to some of the charts, June does get some peak prices. I've got my sell limit orders in place in case something happens while I'm away from the computer.

There appears to be something brewing on top of, or just to the east of South Florida. The National Hurricane Center says this is just an "upper-level low" and isn't any big deal. However, in my 15 years of tracking hurricanes, I've seen many of these types of systems work their way down to the surface and become "Tropical."

There's also just as good a chance that it can fizzle out within a period of 24 hours or less, and be no big deal as the NHC says....

your not kiddin...holy chit! This is nuts! Now I have to hope for a CAT 5 to hit land. I got in on most of these plays in February and I am actually losing money on some of them.

Same.

I got into RGMI, BUGS and ECCI on on June 1st and I´ve only lost a bit on ECCI. I´ve lost a little on RGMI and Bugs, but not that much. If I had more money I would get into NSMG cause that´s under 0,20 today.
Like someone said, July will come, and then so will August and September and November so I think this is a good time to say patience will be a virtue.

2007 Hurricane Season Cancelled
Written by Sal Manella
Story written: 10 May 2007

Windy Storm, a spokesperson from the National Weather Service, announced today that the 2007 Hurricane season has been cancelled.

Dr. Storm, a meteorologist, refused to elaborate on the reasons for the decision to cancel this year's season. However, speculation on the street is the unfavorable public opinion, stemming from recent storms such as Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, is the driving force behind the cancellation.

The reaction to this decision has been mixed. President Bush was very pleased with the news while Al Gore was critical of the National Weather Service's action, saying "they have no right to do this. Haven't those dolts heard of global warming?"

haha ......

I see alot of angry and disappointed faces above. I've been in NSMG with 42000 shares bought throughout Jan to March avg. .16 so I haven't lost anything but I am sorry I didn't take some profits here and there, it really doesn't look too good right now.

BUT....this should just be a temporary slump for the hurricane pennies, most of them should make new highs on the year soon at least IMO. Things change constantly, last year there was an early sell-off, this year the stocks may not be in play until July or August and may run until October, you never know.

On the other hand the Naz and Big Board hurricane stocks are looking primed and healthy right now, if I had funds freed up I would definitely buy some IPII and maybe some ABIX...hmm maybe later, GLTA!

Is the above article a joke??

Check out the National Weather Service website:

NOAA Predicts Above Normal 2007 Atlantic Hurricane Season...
Experts at the NOAA Climate Prediction Center are projecting a 75 percent chance that the Atlantic Hurricane Season will be above normal this year - showing the ongoing active hurricane era remains strong.

I don´t think it is possible to actually cancel a season , unless we are talking about baseball. Fear not; Spring, summer, winter and fall will arrive every year, but due to global warming there are no guarantees that they will arrive in the same order every year.
