Windy Storm, a spokesperson from the National Weather Service, announced today that the 2007 Hurricane season has been cancelled.
Dr. Storm, a meteorologist, refused to elaborate on the reasons for the decision to cancel this year's season. However, speculation on the street is the unfavorable public opinion, stemming from recent storms such as Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, is the driving force behind the cancellation.
The reaction to this decision has been mixed. President Bush was very pleased with the news while Al Gore was critical of the National Weather Service's action, saying "they have no right to do this. Haven't those dolts heard of global warming?"

......
I see alot of angry and disappointed faces above. I've been in NSMG with 42000 shares bought throughout Jan to March avg. .16 so I haven't lost anything but I am sorry I didn't take some profits here and there, it really doesn't look too good right now.
BUT....this should just be a temporary slump for the hurricane pennies, most of them should make new highs on the year soon at least IMO. Things change constantly, last year there was an early sell-off, this year the stocks may not be in play until July or August and may run until October, you never know.
On the other hand the Naz and Big Board hurricane stocks are looking primed and healthy right now, if I had funds freed up I would definitely buy some IPII and maybe some ABIX...hmm maybe later, GLTA!
