no doubt rando. i'm with you....should've just shorted the stock instead of rebuying the 65s. i'm going to be "patient" with this one...give it a day or 2.

copper still down? my TOS seems to be frozen.

last I saw, it was still down around 2.88.

whoot... skidding a bit now. I actually doubled my short posn at 68.93, almost ticked it... RSI was touching 70, STO was overbought, everything was all lined up perfectly, and my stop was like 26 cents above. Suicide squeeze maybe, but so far it is looking smooth.

well, what a crummy day with this dog. I guess I should've been selling puts instead of buying them....I'll give it another day and see what tomorrow brings. Obviously fighting the tide here.

Yeah still holding the 70 strike calls i sold (about 5% profitable when sold at 68.10 cause of theta), Better not break 70 on expiration. This was an unexpected move, but i guess the entire sector was up so it got pulled up along with it

naked calls? i thought about it. glad i didn't now.

hmm , norlan do you think oct puts at 50 are a good buy?

feels like a good time to sell some calls against my longs. maybe just front month 70x. i dont want to risk the loss of upside for too long. considering fcx's upgraded gold output and copper putting in a great quarterly average they could run for a while still. also it really seems like there could be something brewing with the china turning against the dollar thing. i dont think it will happen but if it does comodities would be effected to the upside.

past three weeks i have been rehabing an investment house i bought back in spring. i barely have a full day left to it so i will be back to sitting at the computer soon. the property prices got too low to not buy. i ended up doing a bathroom remodel and a kitchen addition along with new hardie siding and soffits. my next project is to expand one of my bathrooms at my house 3x its original size. i plant to make it a bay 10ft x 15ft with 45% sides. the addition will have the shower and tub. i want a shower with multiple shower heads. i will atleast be able to be logged on watching stocks while doing that.

anyone got any last minute advice/opinion on FCX?

Fed meeting starting tomorrow, dollar might rise and gold shall fall, I saw in halftime report they said that many institutions are still buying gold on dips

http://www.marketwatch.com/story/gol...g20-2009-09-21

"Pre-Fed jitters, concerns commodities and equities are overbought following the recent price surge and further dollar gains have weighed gold back to the $1,000 level," Moore said, adding that the metal may have a turbulent week, possibly testing back to the $985-$990 area.
