If you think it's dead, then DON'T play ... simple as that.  I am not in for the long term so I am not too worried.  I think it's gonna bounce, then I am gonna play :) 

I am putting this on watch. 38% Short interest of the float and price is still near all time lows. Street has been trying to push it down to hard which tells me they want in and out. Out of shorts and in longs. Descending wedge on the daily, inverse head and shoulders on the RSI & CCI. CMF is in a nice uptrend too. If the low doesn't hold oh well for me. Who is willing to short it from these prices??? Getting upgraded to a hold from reduce by some today.

Just a quote from my broker's platform. There are indeed a lot of hardships presented with the sector, but I think in a year or two things could change. Operating costs go down and there starts to be some sustainability. Shorts will be covering before that happens and investors will be buying into weakness regardless. There shouldn't really be an issue of index related activity because soon enough the money that is short will want to be buying other stocks that have fallen from summer pressures. I think this is a perfect time for it to see some type of bounce to start getting a bottom in place. I can always be wrong and the price could continue to falter. The reward is just better for the upside at this point  imo and technicals are at their wits end.

ill keep an eye...i dont think oil slide will go any lower

First Solar, Intermolecular To Collaborate on Thin-Film Solar Technology

First Solar Inc. (FSLR) reached a collaboration and licensing agreement with Intermolecular Inc. (IMI) aimed at improving the efficiency of First Solar's cadmium-telluride photovoltaic technology.
In recent premarket trading, First Solar shares were up 2.8% at $13.18. Through Friday's close, the stock is down roughly 62% this year.
Under the agreement, First Solar will use Intermolecular's technology platform, which allows research-and-development experimentation to be performed much more quickly than traditional methods.
Financial terms weren't disclosed.
First Solar said in a statement the collaboration addresses new opportunities in certain critical materials and processes that may significantly influence the efficiency of its cadmium-telluride photovoltaic technology.
Separately, First Solar said it was chosen for two utility-scale solar projects totaling 159 megawatts for AGL Energy Ltd. (AGK.AU) under the Australian government's program to support solar energy projects.
First Solar last month reported it swung to a first-quarter loss on lower revenue and more than $400 million in restructuring costs.
Intermolecular shares closed Friday at $6.43 and were inactive premarket. The stock is down nearly 36% from its November initial public offering price of $10 a share.

So they are up 20% because they are ramping up production on a plant that is going to close?

 

They are closing the plant because its obviously not needed, but there is some demand at the moment, so they are squeezing out what ever they can.
