I've noticed this too. A few stocks that I've been looking at have broken the 50 mark on RSI and a few are getting close to the 50 day moving average.

gs(financial) posting +25.29% earnings says "fk you bsc you noob cake", market could pop another b0n3r on better news and thus a rally because of a better outlook on financial woes

So much for my thought of a drift up on low volume huh..this got rocked early on today. At least I got the direction right and when the trend broke what a nice short you'd have had.

Did you buy in on the action at all down low?

I am going to be very careful next week, with all the college kids off for spring break. With the market moving so fast on low volume, they could have a big impact. So be careful and get ready to see when the big time players jump in and which way they are going.

This market moves very fast on next to no volume. Just something to watch for.

Hmm? We are at highs in regards to volume these last few weeks. 6 months ago it was typically half the volume as a typical day today. DJIA at least, that I'm looking at.

Huh? Are you suggesting the market is moving on low volume due to college kids being on spring break?

Yea I didn't really phrase that correctly, (kinda in a hurry) what I meant is that there will be lot more non institutional money being put to work next week, and it could have a big impact.

And yes college kids itchin to play the market with a chance to sit in front of their computers all day without such petty this such as classes getting in the way.

And you are an addict, with some knowledge, next week is like a trading break for the for the masses that don't spend every waking min pouring over charts and reading trading forums and posting 5 times per hr.

Before everyone jumps down my throat, lets just wait and see if it makes a difference or not....

Just watch and see if it makes sense then

I think for the majority of college kids this weekend is the dividing line. It's included as either the beginning or the end of break.

edit: with a significant carryover of a coupe of days on each side.

I'll be watching for some stop hunters early next week.
They tend to abuse those with open stop orders on or near holidays.

Yep with the trailing stops being the easiest to take out. Just saying to watch out, could be a really wacky week.

And has been in the past if memory serves, but it's not quite as sharp as it used to be.

Charts haven't confirmed a bottom yet, but I'm seeing signs of it.

I think I heard at least 10 different tv analysts saying that this could be the beginning of a support area. But what has really changed, the sub-prime and credit mess did not go away overnight. These thing still have a long way to go before they are all sorted out.

You were pulled in hook line and sinker a long time ago Baz, and did not even know it until now.

Don't make me remind you of how you got here... it was not a pretty picture.

And I know all the sorted details....

On which play bud? DBC?

I think alot of plays are being tampered with to create confusion to the general public. Usually a gap sold against is more of a trend changing move, not bought right back. Then again maybe they didn't expect it to tank as easily as it did.
