Is our dollar really that bad? Damn!

Goes to show it doesn't matter whether you have Democrats or Republicans in the government, none of them have saved the dollar.

Dow is about to close over $12,000. Someone get out the party drinks. Root beer for me please.

No that would be Phatey.

No honestly,

I am a neutral trader.

My outlook will turn very quickly.

This is how the mkt often turns.

Right now: at this very second: the trend is: neutral to bull

Long run? As in next 5 years?

I see Dow 15,5k easy.

(provided we don't hit too many "bumps" on the road)

Hey I mean look at the economy. The thought of oil settling at even at $40 a barrel is gonna mean catastrophe down the road. I mean the base commodity in our society going from $10 a barrell to whatever it got to 70-80 in five years? I don't see how anyone could NOT think we are screwed, unless we come up some alternatives fast. The next leg up will be the most brutal. Now thats my economic stance.

My trade stance is neutral at this point. I try and trade what I see happening not what I think the market should do. Like I said yesterday, I either see this market hitting 20,000 within the next couple of years THEN going to ~7000, or we could just skip the whole 20,000 thing and go there now.

My guess is oil/gold will decide where we go.

QQQQ 6 months:

We are in consolidation at this point and the trend is neutral

I would not own any index options save spreads at this point.

I'd watch tech stocks as the SOX (& SMH) is fragile at these levels.

If 42.70 (really 42.63 but to be safe...) is taken out on volume, we go back to bull mode.

I'm weary of a break of 41.43 range though. (really 41.48 but I give you 5 cents to be sure)

We could see that on rate hike concerns.

If we break that range, it could go back to 40.9 area, but I still don't know how much of a bear I'll be.

My best guess as to what does happen (which is just a shot in the dark) is the boys try to grind us a little longer, without any significant moves in either direction.

Keep this in mind over the weekend....

And let me know your thoughts!

OEX 6 months:

More bullish at this second

But people will realize this.

And the major firms might bring things back down to 630ish. (628 possibly? )

IMO the OEX could be too bullish (right now).

But a pullback would be healthy.

The OEX is less prone to SOX hurts than the Q.

INDU moreso. SPX the same.

Futures saying we open the week up
I'm bored at work and feel like making a prediction. Disclaimer, I dunno what i'm talking about so do your own research and don't take my word for it.

After crunching the numbers, doing some diligent research, and exploring the depths of the markets, Ive made an amazing discovery. This week the DOW will reach 12,200.

Alright, so I made up all the stuff about research but i'm sticking with my prediction!

I might jump in your camp.

I feel like after Op Ex week, which was just a drag, we will get a more significant move.

And I'm leaning up....

Futes down now though before the open (I jinxed it last night)

The point is show the consolidation and that a small volatility spike is around the corner. Play the break.

The Q's do not know what they're doing today (or maybe I don't ), having trouble finding a direction to trade here.

Edit: So I have profit on my QQQQ put this morning, don't take it for some idiotic reason, sell out at a small loss. Started to flip into some calls, didn't get the fill I wanted, didn't feel like getting a fill 5 points higher, so didn't chase it. The call's up 30ish points now. Way to trade emotionless Korey, way to go.
